You want to know more about me?
I graduated from Marion Catholic high school in 1993. There were 36 people in my class, and that was large for the school. I played soccer and track all four years and football my senior year. I was on the academic team at school. It was sort of like In The Know, if you've see that. just we never got on tv. We were on the radio though.
Then I started at Ohio State.
50,000 people on campus. I rode with my brother, but he dropped out after fall quarter.
Then there was Christmas of 1993.
A good friend of mine from high school was home on break. He was a star football player and was going to St. Joesph's College on Indiana on a football scholarship. He came home and was playing basketball in the school gym on Dec 19. He'd had a cold or some sort of virus
He collasped in the gym, and died a few hours later.
Whatever virus he had just stopped his heart.
We didn't expect to have a class reunion so quickly.
Returning to Ohio State, I was really out of it. I had started playing rugby for OSU in the fall, and I practiced with them in the winter, but once it got to spring, I left the team.
My first year at OSU I did very badly. Fall quarter I was fine, but after christmas, everything just went downhill. So, in the fall of 1994, I decided I needed a change.
I went to OSU Marion campus for 3 years. While there, I got into art.
The art teacher there was named e. l. sauselen. He was taught by Hoyt L. Sherman, a former professor at OSU. Sherman also taught Roy Lichenstein. e. l. sauselen, name is Larry. That's how I refer to him. He taught me everything I know. He taught me how to paint, draw, and make videos. That was the cool part. I took video and images and put them into the computer and turned it into a video.
But since then, I haven't done anything big, except for my vacation last summer. I spent a week in Toronto. Cool city. I loved it. Toronto changed my view of big cities. This summer, after I finish my temp job, I'm going back there, and probably up to Montreal also.
If there's anything you want to know, just let me know. There's a link at the bottom of the page to e-mail me. Please let me know what you think.
