Clones

While the Autobots Fastlane and Cloudraker aren't the same robot, they are sometimes considered to be. Having identical color and appearence in robot mode, these two are called the Autobot Clones. The difference between the two is that Cloudraker becomes a futuristic jet, while Fastlane becomes a futuristic race car.

Pounce and Wingspan are known as the Decepticon Clones, and like the Autobot Clones, they are identical in robot mode. Pounce transforms into a panther, while Wingspan transforms into a bird of prey.

Cartoon Bio (US):

The Autobot Clones were only seen in the cartoon as scouts who were searching for the Key to the Plasma Energy Chamber.

The Decepticon Clones were part of the first major offensive Galvatron launched against the Autobots after the Hate Plague and Optimus Prime's resurrection. The Clones were given a covert mission by Galvatron to sneak into Autobot City. While the other Decepticons engaged the Autobots, the Clones snuck inside and stole the key to Cybertron's Plasma Energy Chamber. They were found by the Autobot double spy, who approached them first as Counterpunch, offering assistance, and then as Punch, offering laser fire. The Clones had no major part in the cartoon afterwards, and were seen only in crowd shots.
