Jinrai

Jinrai is the name of the human Godmaster who combined with his truck (actually a transtector) to form the robot known as Super Jinrai. His powers and refusal to work with the Destrons made him a target for much of his early career as a self-styled superhero. Later, a second trailer named Godbomber was constructed to combine with Super Jinrai, forming the giant super robot God Jinrai. He eventually became leader of the Cybertron Godmasters.

Alternate Spellings:

Jin Rai, Ginrai, Gin Rai.

Cartoon Bio (Japan):

Shortly after the death of Convoy, the Cybertrons built a new body for him, in hopes of eventually resurrecting him into it. Before it could be used, it was stolen by Devil Z, a mysterious force that led the Destrons, and hidden on Earth.

Jinrai, a truck driver, rented an odd tractor trailer, which was apparently unpopular because it had the tendency to subject its driver to paranormal phenomena. When the Cybertrons located him, they realized that the truck was actually a transtector, and tried to convince Jinrai to join them. Although he was not convinced initially, an attack by the Destrons resulted in him bringing his Godmaster bracelets together, changing him into a Godmaster, and allowing him to combine with his transtector. After a Destron counterattack left one of Jinrai's friends dead, he declared himself the Godmaster Reserve and fought alongside the Cybertrons as Super Jinrai.

Finding three pairs of Godmaster bracelets in the glove compartment of his truck, Jinrai realized that there were three more Godmaster transtectors on Earth. After spending much time travelling and solving the mystery, he and his allies located the transtectors, and signed up Lightfoot, Ranger, and Road King to merge with them as Godmasters.

Realizing the Destrons were getting too powerful, the Cybertrons create a second trailer for Jinrai: Godbomber. Although not alive, Godbomber could transform into a robot, and also combine with Super Jinrai to form God Jinrai. Together with the Cybertron Godmasters, Junior Headmasters (Shuta, Cab, Minerva), Pretenders (Metalhawlk, Lander, Diver, Phoenix), Grand Maximus, and two ex-Destrons (Cancer and Doubleclouder), he destroyed the Destrons and their leader Devil Z in an epic battle. Then, it was found that for some reason, the transtectors had gained a life of their own, and could continue without their human hosts. Everyone happy, the humans went back to their old lives while the Cybertrons went on their way.

Years later, God Jinrai returned to Earth and found himself in battle with the Destrons led by Deathsaurus. In saving Star Saber's life, he was in turn mortally wounded. Shortly before his death, his mind was transferred into a new body: Victory Leo. Unfortunately, the process had not gone smoothly, and for all intents and purposes, Victory Leo possessed a completely different personality.
