Three creature-based Autobots. They consist of Doublecross (two-headed dragon/robot), Grotusque (winged sabertooth tiger/robot), and Repugnus (insect creature/robot).
When Fortress Maximus announced his intention to leave Cybertron for the planet Nebulos, one of the Autobot groups that asked to join him were the Monsterbots, though the group name itself was never used.
When the Decepticons arrived on the planet, captured Fortress Maximus, and attempted to take control, the Autobots fought back as best they could. Unfortunately, Scorponok and five of his men had become Headmasters, and as a result, had become far more dangerous. The Monsterbots fought a Decepticon invasion at the Mercury Gardens, but found themselves overwhelmed and were forced to retreat.
The present status of the Monsterbots is unknown.
