Welcome to the Stars

button It seems to me that out there, in that world which we call "real", people of different color, creed, and race believe in other forces, perhaps supernatural perhaps not, that govern their lives, actions, or characteristics. Now true, there are those who believe that they, themselves, totally govern what shall happen to them from day to day so I won't rule you out.

button I, however, find that in the stars there is a wonderful mystery awaiting anyone who but wish to look up. Each star, like each person on this green earth, has it's own story to tell. No two are exactly alike nor do any two tell the same story. When we gaze into the sky with large, distance piercing telescopes or even with our own, naked eye we see something beyond our reach and comprehension. A creation so different from ourselves that it is hard to believe that so many posses our galaxy.

button For centuries man has looked to the stars for their beauty, guidance, and regularity. Some, when connected in imaginary lines, even resemble animals, tools, people, or even characters from a favorite tribal story. It is through these eyes of imagination that but twelve have come to be known as the Zodiac.

button Each constellation comes and goes in it's own time, never truly disappearing just visiting a new part of the world. So whether you see "a bunch of fireflies stuck up in that big blueish-black thing" or "a ball of gas burning hundreds of billions of miles away" or even if you see "the kings of the past looking down upon you" the stars are a wondrous and amazing sight.

button Here, if you choose, you can learn the Greek's/Roman's--depending on just what names I used at the time--eye view of the Zodiac and what each sign means. 1
