I live way up on top of a mountain in the San Bernardinos so my radio can sure get out!
I figure that my antenna is about 6300 ft above sea level.

Alot of people say I run power but let me tell you I don't and really don't need to, My radio has very loud audio thanks to Randy from

10-8cb(If you want a talking radio check this out!)

he is a great tech and really knows what he is doing.
I do run a D-104 mic which helps it a little more. My antenna is a Army stick which seems to do the job but the main reason I have it is because of the wind we get here! It is rated for 110 mile per hour winds!
I also collect old radio's I just got into it not long ago but am having a great time! So far I have some old Johnson vikings and a messenger 2 So I will be doing some wheeling and dealing out there If you have something that I may be interested in please drop me some e-mail! Granny Gear 538 Also will be selling stuff too. I am very impressed with the old tube types, they can really talk!!
