ALEXANDER THE GREAT
Amazing story of a man
Alexander, was born in Macedonia on or around July 20, 356 B.C.E .His parents , Philip and Olympias, wanted nothing less than the best for their son, so when he was 13, his parents hired Aristotle from Athens to be his personal tutor. Alexander ascended to the Macedonian throne after the murder of his father. And this was the start of the legend.
21 years old (335 B.C) The Macedonians stormed Thebes, killing almost everyone in sight, women and children included. They plundered, sacked, burned and razed Thebes, as an example to the rest of Greece. Athens came to terms with them that maintained the status quo as under Philip.
22 years old (spring of 334 B.C) Alexander's crossed the Hellespont into Asia Minor and he landed at Troy just like Achilles had done in Homer's Iliad. The Macedonian army soon met the Persian army under King Darius at the crossing of the river Granicus, near the Aegean coast, and defeated in fierce . In November of 333 B.C.E., Alexander met Darius in battle for the second time at a mountain pass at Issus. Darius escaped ,his war chest and his family was captured. Then he continued south into Egypt after he had secured the entire Aegean coast. He was then made pharaoh voluntarily by the Egyptians, who despised living under Persian rule.
25 years old (331 B.C) He conquered the lands between the rivers Tigris and Euphrates and found the Persian army at the plains of Gaugamela. After this decisive victory, Alexander was named King of Asia, and he sent letters to all of the Greek cities proclaiming that he had rid Asia of tyranny.
29 years old (327 B.C) Alexander and his army marched into India. In july 326 the Indians were defeated in a fierce battle, even though they fought with elephants, which the Macedonians had never before seen. Alexander sought out the Indian philosophers, the Brahmins, who were famous for their wisdom, and debated them on philosophical issues. He became legendary for centuries in India for being both a wise philosopher and a fearless conqueror.
31 years old (325 B.C) Alexander and his army reached the mouth of the Indus in July 325 B.C.E. and turned westward for home.
33 years old (323 B.C) The death of Alexander the Great is still shrouded in mystery to this day.Alexander traveled with his men to Babylon despite numerous threatening omens. The omens were so frequent and ominous that Alexander feared that he had fallen out of favor with the gods. He died of a fever on June 10, 323 B.C.

I have tried to tell the life of this man very briefly.There are many books giving all the details of the above mentioned events. Lets assume that the following generations has destroyed the books of antique history tellers (eg. Plutarch, Aristobulus....).The result would be than another God in the Greek Pantheon even he was just a human .
