NovaSandRa is a provacative, sensitive, and intelligent being.
Capable of healing, by direct contact through her empathic and telepathic powers.
Her human father was a Starfleet Officer stationed on Planet Novasand,where he met her mother. His orders were to prepare the inhabitants for evacuation before the planet would actually nova in approximately 20 earth years. Few wished to leave until the time came closer. He remained behind with his wife and daughter.

Nova remained on her planet until she was rescued by the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise.
Since her parents had now passed away, she was ready to leave, taking their "spirit" with her.
Because of her skills and intelligence, she passed Starfleet Academy tests.
Becoming a valued crew member aboard the Enterprise.

Nova's physical appearance is human, but it should be noted she has purple blood.
