This is the Franklin Family History Home Page. Rothas is of the house of Franklin, as is his relative, James Franklin, who does a lot of the research for this page. Below are links of interest to anyone interested in this Franklin Family which originated in England and has been traced to Gloucestershire in the mid 18th Century (at least as far back as 1765). This particular branch came to the United States in 1812 when John Franklin (1790-1869) emigrated to Pennsylvania via the Baltimore Harbor. They have been in south central Pennsylvania since 1812 and in Franklin County, PA since about the mid 1840s.
