Father abandoned family in 2349, when T'Kev was three years of age.** Mother was in Starfleet, killed in action, 2357, aboard the USS Pegasus, leaving the eleven year old child to be raised by paternal grandmother on Vulcan.
T'Kev joined Starfleet when she was seventeen and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming one of the Fleet's youngest full Commanders at age 26. Due to her unusually young age compared to rank, she was the victim of harrassment from less-mature officers aboard Deep Space 2, which resulted in her transfer to the Federation Embassy on Vulcan. Soon thereafter she was promoted, and personally requested for the dual position of Executive Officer and Science Officer by Captain Talen Snow of the then-about-to-be commissioned USS Polaris, where she currently serves.
