"I love you!"
"I know."
- Princess Leia and Han Solo -

OF A WANDERING KNIGHT

With all my love I write this to thee, my fair and sleeping lady,
For all the times spent roaming foreign lands, distant realms,
Have made me wondering of the common fate we might see.
Away from thee, my heart felt cold as a silky sheet of snow.
Even immuned to the revered and renowned Earth's beauty
For in my mind, thou are prettier than a summer sunset.

After a long day walk, late at night beside the sheltering fire,
My limbs frozen by the icy rain of November, of thee I dreamed.
At dawn, as shadows around me became lighter and lighter,
From a sleepless night, I'd always wake with dreaded sorrows.
However strange to me, for every night of long lost desire,
Each day found my heart stronger than before in facing death.

I recall dreaming of thy slender frame inbetween silk sheets,
Nakedness barely seen to my sight, thou were dreaming of me.
I longed to let my fingers touch thy soft skin, softly meet,
But didn't dare, my infinite sadness, for the sanity of my soul.
Echoed against my sighs, the thundering of thy heartbeat
Always broke those dreams of thy soft and tender sight.

When walking and walking made me wondering barely awake,
Only imagined sights of thee came close to memories of thee.
Even miles and miles of sun's sparkles reflecting on an ancient lake,
The sight, however recomforting of founding my journey's goal,
Wasn't able to shiver the sight of you crying for my sake,
With tears in thy eyes reflecting thousands candle's flames at night.

Journeyed alone for so long, fighting dreaded beasts in distant realms,
In reading this, this journey made me insane thou might think or say.
Of couse, my wounded spirit they shall never take, to me it seems,
Refused by the Devil in hell or by God's gatekeeper in paradise.
But, as these words are written for thee, thy heart I yearn to keen
As of my insanity, even I sometimes have doubts within doubts.

Now that I remember what thou made me say, of thee, how wise.
"I'll get back from my journey by any means and by any ways."
Surely in the face of thousand and more possible demises,
Death alone, I thought, had a right to break that promise.
Shall Death claim my life, many years ago I gave up paradise,
So body, soul and heart I give to thee without a shrouded thought.

Shall thou refuse this written commitment of my desire,
Wandering again on this Earth, alone, your sight shall I leave.
However painful, I now declare to thee, always and forever
My love for thee will stay in the shadows of thy beating heart.
Than before, surely, I shall have to journey farther and farther,
For that shadowed place, I never once glimpsed a single piece.

Shall thou accept, thy hand I shall, by any means, demand.
Together and forever our common future we will weave.
Never again, shall we be apart, to thee I now proclaim
"In life with all my desiring heart, so Death shall not part"
To make thee happy, my devotion to seek, thou will gain,
Untouched by battles and war, you shall live in peace.
