[January 12, 2005]

Been very long since I updated, but I thought I'd provide some house pictures for people to look at.

If you haven't been to our house yet (why not?) or, if you simply get confused when I discuss the massivness that is this space, I'll explain the layout. There are 5 levels to the house - the basement (which is entirely below ground), the lower level (which contains the mudroom, downstairs bath, guest room/office, and a storage room), the main level (with kitchen and living room), the upstairs part 1 (master, guest room, office, and full bath), and then all the way upstairs (which is the fabulous family room).

The whole house, fall 2003 or early spring 2004. Of course, it still looks the same, but there's snow on the ground.

This is our mudroom with new! tile floor. Now, to paint the walls a bright red and add a nice bench. Dan did an amazing job.

The kitchen before... curtains are gone, and the stained-glass light has been raised (but is still not high enough... Dan hits his head on it).

Bad angle of our kitchen - I still need to paint this room.

The living room before we moved in. Death to the curtians.

Our living room, while I prepare presents for mailing. And our Christmas tree. The odd white spot on the floor will become a fancy pattern (a four-way chess board) come spring. It has to do with paint fumes. And just so you know, we like the color of the floor very much, and in a few years we will replace the painted floor with something spiffy. Wood or stone, maybe.

It's soo much pink. Curtains are gone (there's no one back there to look in, plus the lower window has this plastic diffuser on it.) All the pink (except for the floor tiles) has been banished to the abyss.

The bathroom upstairs... the paint looks very blue here. It's very green-blue in person.

This is the picture of the family room from before we bought the house.

The family room (facing west.) Not many changes here... except of course, for another one of Dan's beautiful floors. Still have to paint, but that's gunna be a lot of paint.

This is the other angle of the family room. We replaced the entire floor.

The upstairs guest room. Double bed. Open dates and prices available on request. Heeheeh. (Or you could just come and visit.) This room still needs paint too.

A good, daytime, late summer view of our backyard. When the existing deck (seen at left) is replaced it will be where I was standing. So, this will be our view. It's fantastic. We're going to do some landscaping, but it's GREEN!
