The sledgehammer of rifles, the A280 packs an enormous punch into a superbly constructed frame. The two most devastating features of this weapon are the integrated widevision rangefinder and the particle-accelerator at the end of the barrel. This PA adds an extra "spin" to the laser bolt, increasing accuracy and damage rating. The A280 is a big gun, no doubts about it, and gets rather unwieldy in close quarters combat.

Norcor took BlasTech's popular DL series one step further by building the Xi series of composite materials. This made the gun more robust and slightly harder to detect by older security systems. The XiX is known a reverberating, hollow sound when it fires.

Best gun for the money. By some means, more than likely illegal, the Alliance managed to equip their officers with the DD6 and it became the standard favorite. (As seen with Leia Organa in Return of the Jedi)

Using the DL series body, BlasTech added more punch with a heavy compression chamber, so that while the gun takes a bit longer to "warm up", it doesn't lose any of its positive qualities. (As seen with Han Solo in all three films).
DY-255 Trooper Pistol

Copying BlasTech's DH-77 pistol under contract, the DY-255 is in widespread use by security and military forces throughout the galaxy, including the Empire. (As seen with the Tantive IV Rebel guards, and with the Detention Block officers in A New Hope)
