This is an almost formal introduction to a very interesting idea; a more organized resistance to the Alien Hunters on Earth. It starts out as most Pred comics do, the total destruction of a military group, shy one that managed to survive. After being rail-roaded by the government he once served, the protagonist of this tale is recruited by Spearhead, the super hush-hush organization that is tracking and concluding the visits of the Hunters. This book has an almost X-men look to it, as observed by one in the 'Predatorials' in the back. It certainaly has the quality of a good shoot-em-up Pred comic.

Right back into the action, the continuation jumps stright for your throut as the story continues with the new guys' first mission, and kill. It tells of neural agmentation, hot-shots and old vendettas as the plot continues with the samurai hermitt, who is being prevoked by an old friend. Just loving the feel of these various puzzle pieces, hoping they don't connect in too predictable a way.

The team discovers the reason for the recent change in the behaviour of the Hunters, to their perial! It would seem that the Hunters are playing with the changes in their prey, changing from a hunting party, to war games. This change involves the baiting of the civilian population, bringing pause to everyone, accept the good Corporal Dancer. This story leaves us baited with the samurai's timely appearance, and plan.

This series seems to conclude that the threat we face is not truely from Alien menance, but basic human weakness. It is shown that not only that Dancer held off the defence mission that could have saved our heros' squad, to remove a political rival; but his callous need for revenge can consume everything. From the manipulation of his peoples bodies, killing threats to his power and finally escalating the over-balanced conflict to biological warfare at the parol of Earth.
The samurai concludes the conflict, both the war and his nemesis, in a thrilling coup de gras.
This story has proven itself as a worthy addition to any Pred fans collection.
