Description/History: The youngest daughter of Arron Vaumel, the Governer of Mieres Stephanie left home when she was only seventeen to study at the College of Magic. For the next four years she lived in the Imperial city studying magic and learning the ways of the world. After she had learned the basics of spellcaster Stephanie left the safety of the Imperial city and journeyed throughout Anuire seeking adventure and mystery. After several years of adventuring she had managed to put aside a small pile of gold and returned to the Imperial City to try her had at business. At first she attempted to run a small inn called the Black Rose but this was latter sold to finance her dream venture, a newspaper that would keep everyone in Anuire informed of the news that was happening across the continent.
The southern Anuire news was the result of her effort, a small newspaper that over several years became very popular with the nobles of southern Anuire. In recent years her business has expanded and has now become a small guild producing not only the newspaper (now called the Cerilian Times) but also books and other items. The creation of several unique spells has made the newspaper cheaper to produce and as it is still being sold for the same price it is quite profitible.
Stephanie Vaumel is short thin woman with dark brown hair and dark eyes. She tends to dress in dark coloured clothing and little else in the way of decoration. Her magical abilities are not that offensive and she generally only carries an old dagger for defence. Her offices are in the government sector of the Imperial City and she has many agents in the local noble families and government offices. Because of her contacts across Anuire Stephanie is one of the best sources of information around. However she does not sell information for any price, prefering instead to write it up in the newspaper. However if she learns of a plot against someone she may pass on the information to the person affected in return for an interview in the newspaper.
She does not become involved in fights or battles and trys to avoid trouble if at all possible. When outside the city Stephanie will usually travel with two bodyguards, both experienced soldiers from the Imperial Legion, who are willing to sacrifice their lives if necessary.
