Pixie, also called pisky and pixey is usually used as the local name for faeries in the area of Cornwall. They are described as typical faerie folk who may be helpful or mischievous, but are usually not outright maelovent. They enjoy causing mortals to become confused with respect to where they are going or how to get there, hence the phrase pixie-led. There are however some accounts that contest that they are not faeries, but existed in Britain previous to the faeries, and afterward were found only in Cornwall. Whether separate creatures, or a sub-type of faerie, pixies are as similar to most faeries as is possible when dealing with creatures so different from one another.

Pixies normally appear the size of a human hand, with squinting eyes and red hair. They wear green clothing which helps them hide.
