I know there are many similar, and many much worse stories on the Net, but not in Earth 2 or Press Gang fandom (where most of my readers come from).  So this page is designed as a warning for those of you who haven't come across horrid dark fiction before.  I'm not saying that this is that bad in comparison - Broken is not explicit and does not contain graphic description, but it's definitely worse than anything else I've written.

Most of the stories I write are nice.  Sure, I might kill people, I might suggest that bad things have happened and will continue to happen, but 90% of the time there is a nice ending for the characters (or they are dead so they don't know any better).

Not so in this story.  I don't know why I wrote it, I cannot explain the compulsion to write.  But it is here and this is now.

So if you would like to maintain the illusion that Nic is a nice girl who writes nice things and only kills characters for fun, don't read on.  If you'd like to read something a little different, keep an open mind and proceed....
