Miyahd is the daughter of a successful merchant woman in the outskirts of Arad Doman. Her mother taught her the proper ways and wiles of a prosperous Domani woman, and she was quite the student. She always found a way to get into trouble while practicing her mother's teachings, but she almost always found a way to get OUT of trouble using the same thing.
After her 15th Winter, her family became a travelling merchant group. Stopping at least twice a year in each of the reknowned capital cities. After three years, she had learned a lot about entrapping foreign men, and a few of the foreign women, into her snares. The last stop she'd make with her family would be in Tar Valon.
While there, a woman came to her mother's booth to buy a certain item. A small statuette that had been traded a few years ago from a farmer in the outskirts of Andor. Miyahd, however, had grown very fond of the statuette and had asked her Mother not to sell it. Miyahd knew from the looks of the woman that she was Aes Sedai. Calmly, she used a touch of humility and cuteness to ask her to choose another item. However, the woman was adamant that she must buy the statuette. After selling the item, Miyahd sulked like the spoiled girl she was.
The next day, the woman returned with a friend. They stood behind the other customers conferring with each other, when finally one approached and asked Miyahd's mother if she could talk to her and Miyahd privately. It was then that it was pointed out that the women thought Miyahd could learn to channel. Miyahd merely listened to all the women had to say.
Miyahd had grown rather tired of all the travel with her family and thought this new development would be a pleasant experience for herself. Eventually accepting the invitation to study at the Tower, Miyahd bid a farewell to her family and headed to the Tower with the two Aes Sedai.
Personality:
Miyahd is used to the prosperous life, and most importantly, men falling out of their way to help her do whatever she wished. Needless to say, she's a spoiled wretch. She talks sweet and swiftly pays compliment to or obeys those above her in rank. However, to those equal or below her, she is quick to pass judgement and look down her nose; if male, she will tease and tempt and generally use her wiles to get her way; if female, she will play the nice rich friend, but think very lowly of them.
Appearance:
Miyahd is the typical Domani woman. Her long dark hair falling almost sensuously about her slim but attractive coppery-toned face in round boisterous curls. Her posture is anything but slack, standing tall and proud. She wears thin dresses that cling to her curves in ways that more than hinted at her features.
Novice Years:
Unaccustomed to the hubub of the Tower, Miyahd maintained her lofty airs even when dealing with Aes Sedai. This attitude, as well as her conceited nature, led her into more sticky situations than she could get out of. During these years, she made friends with a fellow Domani who was as tricky and as conniving as herself. Dia and Miyahd together were a fairly disconcerting team.
Accepted Years:
Miyahd's Arches brought new insight to her life, and her attitude lightened. Less conceited and more studious, Miyahd LaTanon of Arad Doman grew. A particularly life changing event took place when the young Accepted was irresistably drawn to the Ter'angreal stash where her statuette had been stored. Unknowingly, she sent the entire Tower down a spiral of nightmares by touching the Ter'angreal with Saidar. Sadly, a few Novices and Accepted died because of her, and, thus, she was sent to the farms as penance.
After arriving from the farms, Accepted Miyahd was constantly plagued with nightmares. As a Novice, she had discovered her Talent for Dreamwalking and Dreaming.. and she fought with the urges to cringe from her Dreams. What did they mean? Only time would tell.
Since then:
After her Raising to the Blue Shawl, Miyahd Sedai was ecstatic. But her happiness was always shadowed by the nightmares she continued to have. She had to do something, but what? To complicate the matter, she was given the position of Mistress of Novices soon after acquiring the shawl. Determined to do the Tower good, she accepted the position, but her nighmares still tugged at her mind.. She was sure.. Something bad was going to happen.
