Raithen Sedai

    Raithen Cherishe was the daughter of a Maya Serille and Shonan Cherishe. The mix of a Domani mother and Cairheinin father was interesting indeed. Maya was a minor Lady and merchant in Arad Doman, so she and her family spent most of their time there, in a wealthy house near the capital. Raithen was raised as a Lady's daughter, and taught all the manners necessary to a Domani woman's trade. Her father tried to teach her about the Game of Houses as well, but what Raithen disliked in her mother's work was worse in what her father told her.

    At sixteen, Maya tried to get Raithen to conclude a sale with a customer in perhaps a normal Domani fashion, and the girl resisted. To conclude a sale with *that* end, under false pretenses, was the very end. Raithen packed up and left home forever. By the time the Aes Sedai found her, the girl had been robbed of horse and purse, beaten severely, and left to die. It had only taken three days. Personally, Raithen had lasted better than she thought she would. When Marron Sedai found her, however, Raithen had decided not to spend the rest of her probably short life in a ditch but was physically unable to rise. The Aes Sedai was a Yellow and took her in for the night, and tested her for the ability to channel, out of habit. Both of them were sincerely startled to realize she could. 

    Raithen's rise to Aes Sedai was fairly uneventful. She had a block against anything involving Illusion, but has since broken it. Her skills in that area are still minor, but she has strength in other areas. Her strongest powers are Fire and Earth, and she can Earthsing, although she is not able to make a worthwhile Gateway. Raithen also has a touch of Foretelling, but it is extremely sporadic. 

    Her personality is quirkily complex, but Raithen places a great value on honesty and dislikes trickery in any form. She is extremely loyal to the Tower, because of the Aes Sedai who saved her and something she saw in her Arches, but will not speak of. Raithen is very intelligent, and considers her mind her best weapon, not her channeling ability. Raithen is very passionate, and holds nothing back in anything that she attempts. Her forwardness and intelligence gives her a quick tongue, but age has stilled her temper enough for her to be diplomatic when necessary.

    Raithen Sedai is of medium height, with waist-length could-like dark brown and wide intense brown eyes. She has a young-looking face and slim frame, and pale skin from her father's side, which gives her a deceptively fragile look. She usually dresses in dark gem tones, and has a huge collection of jewelry which she adores to make up for her simple clothes.
