Miyadrani staggered through the terrain. It was a farm. What was she doing in a farm? Then it came to her. She was on farm penance. She was running. Running from.. from..
"Trollocs!!" Miyadrani screamed as she dodged the ax of one ugly looking bird-faced Trolloc. She fell in the mud. It was raining, pouring down sheets of rain. With weaves of Air, she sent the Trolloc back and away from her. The thing flew backwards many yards. Miyadrani's breathing was rapid; she was gasping for air as she continued to run.
Miyadrani was imagining all sorts of reasons why the Trollocs were there. Because of an important person nearby? Because she, within her heart, had denied the Dark purpose for which she had once belonged and turned to the Light? She had not uttered a word to anyone about her real reasons for coming to the Tower. She had not once spoken to her Master of her doubts or of her full turning. Could He have discovered her secret?
Then there was Talon. She had felt a kinship with the girl since she first saw her within the Tower. She was also struggling up a hill which Miya had just conquered. Miyadrani held out her hand for the girl, "Hurry! They're coming!" They had pulled a prank together. That's why they were both out here.
Talon nodded and hurried as much as possible with Miyadrani's help. Once they reached the top of the hill, something unexpected occurred.. Talon shoved Miyadrani back down the hill which they had just climbed. Miyadrani fell, rolling down the hill harshly, and landing at the bottom sorely bruised and battered. Groaning, she tried to stand, but Talon was there and kicked at her face.
"Gah!" Miyadrani flung back a few feet.. that had Saidar behind it; she knew it. Miyadrani tried to weave a shield, but she was blocked from saidar. "Talon! What are you doing?!"
"Heeding our Master's wishes, Firelle," Talon sputtered with disgust, "Did you really think He wouldn't know of your change of heart?" The girl's voice was harsh.. evil. Miyadrani forced herself to her feet.
"I'm a nobody, Talon.. I don't see why He ever really wanted my service in the first place.." And then she ran.. was that an arch she saw? Air suddenly flung her off her feet, and she crashed into a huge tree trunk. Oh.. broken bones.. Miyadrani could feel it.
"When He calls you, you are supposed to follow, no matter what you think of yourself, Firelle." Miyadrani coughed up blood.. Firelle.. that was a name Miyadrani had not used in such a long time.
Miyadrani struggled up and ran for the arch. She begged the Creator for her ability to make it. Please... And then Air knocked her off her feet again.. Luckily, it sent her tumbling straight through the arch.
