These are my Gaming Links

LIke I said,I am a proud owner of a Playstation, with a MOD chip and a VCD adapter. The adapter is an add on, which attaches to the rear of the machine. It allows the playstation to play VCD's. THe quality is excellent.

My favourite game is currently FF-tactics. A chess like game, where you have a series of players on a board. THese players have the ability to cast spells, attack, use potions etc. Certain actions require a period of time to "charge". Different abilities are gained by trading in "experience points" (which are earned during battle). Different abilities allow you to advance to a new "job class". The graphics are decent, music entertaining, and gameplay excellent. It was an extremely well thought game with a deep storyline. Several secrets and hard to find items extend the game. Kudos to SqaureSoft. THe only "defect" to this game might be it's difficulty. However, this has not been much of a problem for me, and with a little planning and strategy, the game is easily mastered.

My favourite RPG/adventure games include Parasite Eve, FF7, RE2 (or BioHazard2) and some older PC ones. I currently have Tales of Phantasia, Xenogears, and Brave Fencer Musashi. Musashi is aimed at an extremely young audience, and I found the game rather shallow and stupid. I have yet to find time to play Phantasia or Xenogears.

Of fighting games, I have enjoyed StreetFighter A3 (or Zero3), A2 (or Zero 2), Plus Alpha (1 and 2), Bloody Roar, Samarui Showdown 4, Guilty Gear, MSH vs SF, MSH, Bushido Blade 1 and 2, Sangoku Musou, Tekken3, Pocket FIghter, KOF'97, Rival Schools, Ehrgeiz and Xmen vs SF. I dislike the MK series, because it is overhyped, and there is too much focus on memorizing moves, and too little on game play.

Other games I enjoy include Super PuzzleFighter X2, "ONE", Unholy War, BeatMania, GUnBarl, Horned Owl, Einhander, Darius, Gradius,NFS3, Thrill Kill, and Road Rash 3D. I believe that games are a useful way of relieving stress. The small percentage of the population which are affected negatively by games should not be a deciding factor in the production of games. I am a firm believer in the free market, and feel that as long as there is a demand for certain types of games, they should be produced. (e.g., I hated Parrapper the Rapper, but there are people who liked it). That's just my own 2 cents.

Of course, there are many other great arcade games, including Tokyo Wars, several Snowboard games, Ace/Air Combat, Jet Skis, and last but not least, the Racing Games. Tokyo Wars is the best in my mind. You sit in a Tank and go around Japan, destroying other Tanks and buildings. There is a time limit and you try to wreck as much as possible. (As well as blowing up the tanks). One of the better games.

The other games are also pretty fun, but not as good as the real thing. Sure, Snowboarding down a virtual mountain is cool, but going down the real mountain, speeding past people, and smashing your face into some weirdo who doesn't know how to move is much better.

OK, that's it for now, Visit these other pages, they are also rather good, with many hints and cheats.
