[Welcome]

Welcome to my Religion page. With so many thing on my site dealing with life, death, and things of the supernatural, I'm sure most people would like to know what religion I follow. Well I will tell you all about it here.

("Once again I will say that I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes, however, it is bound to happen. Please note that I pull this from history, and the Bible. If you wish, you may refer back to the history or even the Bible. If you still have a problem with it, take it up with God")

Seventh-Day Adventist

I am a Seventh-Day Adventist, and many have never heard of this church. The names meaning is that we believe that the seventh day of the week, Saturday, is still Sabbath like said in the Bible. The dictionary says, "Sabbath - the seventh day of the week, Saturday, observed as the day of rest and worship by the Jews and some Christian sects." The second part says, Adventist or Advent, means a believer of the coming of Christ or the coming of Christ as judge on the last day: called also Second Advent or Second coming.

The Sabbath

I must first start with the Sabbath. As most know, Sunday, the first day of the week, is observed as the day of rest and worship by most Christians. However, no where in the bible does it say however that Sunday is the Seventh day of the week, so we keep it as said. Nor does it say anywhere in the bible it has been changed.

Of course the Old Test. it says in the Ten Commandments the seventh day of the week, (if you wish to read the 4th Commandment which tells of the seventh day, turn to Exodus 20:8-11) yet it has been changed by the Pope. During the early days of the church he saying that it had been changed and the Old ways were done away with. This being because of Jesus death on Friday and his raising on Sunday. However, in the New Test. after Christ left the Earth it says:

Hebrews 4, vers. 3-10
For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, AS I HAVE SWORN IN MY WRATH, IF THEY SHALL ENTER INTO MY REST: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, AND GOD DID REST THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS. vers.5 And in this place again, IF THEY SHALL ENTER INTO MY REST. vers.6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: vers. 7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying to David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, TO DAY IF YE WILL HEAR HIS VOICE, HARDEN NOT YOUR HEARTS. vers. 8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. vers. 9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. vers. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

This with focus, strongly on vers. 8 says that it has not been changed, because Jesus never gave us word to do so.

I guess you need more biblical proof of what I'm saying however. I shall do this through vers. that talk about the changing of the law.

The changing and effects of changing the Law

In the beggining the law was set before the Ten Commandments was given to Moses. The Sabbath was started in the Garden of Eden. However, I will not go back that far. God said in:
Deuteronomy 4:2
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Psalm 89:34
My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

Psalm lll: 7,8
The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. vers. 8 They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.

Isaiah 42:21
The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake: he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

The punishment of changing the law will be just as bad as if you had broken the law.

Proverbs 30:6
Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Ezekiel 22:25, 26, & 31
There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof. vers. 26 Her priest have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. vers. 31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.

Forwarning of the changing of the law

Daniel 7:25
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

The Advent, The Second Coming, The End of Time

Adventist believe in the Second coming of Christ, (as said earlier) and believe it is very soon. This is because of the signs in the Bible. We also believe a woman named Ellen White, who was gifted with visons from God, of end of time events. From the bible alone we see the signs said in the Bible. I will not be talking about Ellen White on here however. I believe that for what I'm saying the Bible is all I need, and plus you all that do read this would want to see it from the Bible anyway.

Jesus told of how the world would be in the end. Matt. 24 speaks of the end before hand. vers 4. And Jesus answered and said unto them, *Take heed that no man deceive you.* vers. 5 *For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.* And this is seen all the time now, not just with the pope saying he is Christ on earth. Or his go between. vers. 6 *And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.* vers. 7 *For nation shall rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines. and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.*

Jesus say this is the beginning of the end. So going by what is on the news all the time now, we can see that we are in the last days.
