The story so far: Sydney Bristow is a double agent, working for the CIA in an attempt to bring down SD-6, an organization that claims to be working for the US government. As she has made further discoveries about the organization, Sydney has learnt of a prophecy that states one woman will plunge the world into chaos, her believed-dead mother. On a mission with her CIA handler Michael Vaughn, Vaughn was trapped in a room filling with water while Sydney fell into the hands of much-wanted terrorist 'The Man', who was revealed to be Sydney's mother. Meanwhile, Sydney's friend, journalist Will Tippin, found himself forced to pursue a story exposing SD-6 on pain of death, and has recently discovered the truth about Sydney from her father, the only other double agent in SD-6. Also, SD-6 head Arvin Sloane is becoming increasingly unhappy with how the organization is run since he was told to kill his wife when it was discovered that she knew of SD-6's existence. For Sydney, however, even if she can escape being held captive by her own mother, there is still the fact that her usual SD-6 partner, Marcus Dixon, has become suspicious of her allegiances and may yet inform Sloane of his belief that she is working both sides…
