Earth: Final Conflict: 'One Man's Castle'

A bio-surrogate (a genetically superior human body into which a human's consciousness can be transferred) escapes from a lab, the Companion agents must try to stop it murdering anyone it believes to be a threat.

Not a bad episode this, as there's a lot going on. The bio-surrogate plot (basically another chase-destroy plotline) is pushed to the background by the more interesting things going on in the meantime. We get to see something of what the Taelons have been doing, with Da'an unveiling his bio-surrogate project, which has been tampered with by Zo'or without Da'an's knowledge. Apparently the nicest way of helping us humans fight the Jaridians is to fit new bodies with weapons, then send these bodies to the front with the consciousnesses of soldiers inside. What they're not telling is that you can't transfer the consciousness back if a soldier is killed.

Meanwhile, Sandoval tells Doors he's about to die (serves the idiot right for coming above ground and making himself a target) and President Thompson finally makes the right choice and stands up for himself. All this and the return of the lovely holo-Lili.

Sadly, with all these intriguing little sequences, there are also some poor ones. Dr Sparrow, inventor of the bio-surrogates attempts to have an affair with Maiya with seriously dull and pointless results, and there's an ending that is unsatisfying and rather sudden. It also makes the viewerr wonder why these bio-surrogates have been given Jaridian weapons, but no immunity to being shot by one. They're not going to last long on the front lines, are they?
