When a Taelon sympathizer is killed from the inside, the Companion agents must find him and stop him before he uses his teleportation device to kill others.
Apparently the killer in this episode was refused a place working with the Liberation, and has taken to proving his worth. There’s not a lot going on here, with the various subplots coming together rather conveniently for the ‘explosive’ climax. There’s little new in the character scenes either, except that Doors and President Thompson finally agree on something. The rest is as you would expect.
Sandoval’s efforts at annoying some civilians results in Da’an conveniently having to give an apology that puts him in the firing line for the teleportation killer. Zo’or is extremely enthusiastic about this, naturally, and it just seems like more of the same, which it is really.
The whole episode seems to be to introduce the idea that a human can invent technology ahead of anything the Taelons have, rather than actually delivering some sound plotting. And more importantly, if you need to know exactly where everything is in a room when you use the teleporter, what’s the point in transporting yourself when you could finish up like the guy in this episode? If it’s that dangerous, why bother?
The only upside really is another appearance by the holo-Lili, this time in cheerleader form. Otherwise, you’d miss nothing if you didn’t watch this one.
