Earth: Final Conflict: 'Friendly Fire'

When Paul Chandler uses his stolen Taelon shuttle to perform raids on alien targets, Zo'or sends the Companion agents to bring him in. Can the Liberation reach him first?

The trailer for this episode promises the real start of the fight against the Taelons. What it doesn't point out is that it's a one-man war: Chandler. Now this guy seems to have the right idea: rather than sitting about not noticeably accomplishing anything, why not go and blow up some Taelon stuff? Chandler's first appearance in last season's Horizon Zero was pretty dull, and now he returns to get a quick snog out of Lili before undertaking a mission to blow up one of the more prominent Taelon bases, with the minor inconvenience that he might take out most of Washington at the same time.

There's some amusement to be had from unpleasant radio host Thomas Payne being threatened, but the plot is spread so thinly, it barely covers 15 minutes, let alone 45. The only other element worth mentioning is another effective talk between Da'an and Liam in which the latter pledges that he will sacrifice his life for the Taelon if necessary. This gives the characters a close connection that has been building nicely over recent episodes. One to fast-forward through.
