Cade is approached by Joshua and two Gua who have a plan to assassinate Mabus before he can begin the second wave.
Although it doesn't quite live up to expectations (Mabus starts off the episode by ordering the second wave), this is one of the more important episodes. It provides the first direct confrontation between Cade and Mabus and plays two sets of prophecies (the Gua's and Nostradmus') off against each other.
Tackling the issue of accuracy in the Nostradamus prophecies, it makes an interesting case for just how accurate they are and whether or not Cade is really the Twice Blessed Man. As even he isn't sure, how can we be? It also shows the closeness that has developed between Cade and his team, and Joshua points out that in a tight spot, he will side with Foster as well.
The Gua planning the assassination are a little two-dimensional, with the conversion of Allegra to Cade's cause by the end rather sudden, but it does make some interesting points about the differences and similarities between the Gua and humans. Despite Cade's feelings, he is still happy, if nervous, about uniting with the Gua in the hope of at least temporarily ending the Gua's invasion plans. The fact that he is willing to die for the cause is something not often touched upon, and he gets some strong moments with Jordan to explain his decision.
The regulars really make this episode watchable, and it's good to see the group gradually building into one cohesive unit.
