Highlander: The Raven: 'A Matter of Time (1 of 2)'

Joe Dawson warns Amanda that the Immortal who took her under his wing a couple of centuries ago is after her head. But when Korda murders innocent people, Nick takes it upon himself to bring him down.

The next phase of starts here. Korda makes for a clever and interesting villain, and is well played by Valentine Pelka, and the way both Amanda and Nick are brought into the fight is well handled. Some of this story is reiterating who the Watchers are and what they do, with Joe refusing to step in, except to help people after Immortal actions. There are some good discussions between him and Nick about the ex-cop's more pro-active approach to Immortals, and it's good to see Dawson again, even if it's hardly vital he be around.

On top of this, Amanda and Nick finally look as if they're heading towards a relationship, which in their case could work extremely well, bringing them closer as a team and not spoiling the show dynamic. You can see how close they've become when Nick hears of Amanda's apparent death, and gets himself shot attempting to avenge her.

The only real problem with this story is that it's all set-up for the next episode, and doesn't hold together very well on its own. Most plot threads (what Korda's up to for one) are left unresolved, but this should allow for an exciting conclusion.
