Seven Days: 'Doppelganger I'

When Frank backsteps to avert a war, he is split into two separate 'hims'. But how different are the two Parkers?

It had to happen. Seven Days does the old evil twin thing. At the beginning, it looks like the two Parkers are pretty much the same, and the episode could be a fun look at how you would react if there was a clone of yourself running around. However, when the 'new' Frank attacks the original, the concept degenerates into a good versus evil scenario.

Again, the production values of the series actually lift this otherwise rather clichéd concept above the norm, and events happen thick and fast, with plenty of action. Also, with much of the episode given over to the machinations of Frank's evil 'brother', our hero spends most of his time buried in a shallow grave, thereby leading to an unnecessarily stirring episode climax (although as Frank is buried in daylight and climbs out at night, it's a miracle he survived underground so long).

Much of Doppelganger I is set-up rather than pay-off, so hopefully part two will improve on this distinctly average start.
