When a princess is killed in an apparently accidental explosion, Frank's attempt to fix the situation with a backstep puts her in further danger.
Clearly the events shown here would never happen, making this another one of those suspension of disbelief episodes. Firstly, it's rather puzzling that there is a backstep to fix this event. From the way Talmadge speaks, it seems as if it being an accident is the fact that swings it. Up to now, it's invariably been a matter of national security that's caused the backstep, but here Frank is sent to save the princess of a piddling little island no-one's ever heard of. Of course, she naturally (or in this case extremely unnaturally) falls for his hunksome charms.
This is the main aspect that just doesn't ring true. Even a princess about to enter a loveless marriage would be a little more refined than to just give Parker a good hard snog, regardless of the circumstances. And then to do much the same when on a TV camera at the end of the episode is totally ludicrous. Mind you, so is the scene in which Parker is knighted beforehand.
Other than all this, it's pretty much Seven Days by the numbers. Death, backstep, much shooting and fighting, and Frank comes out on top. All in a day's work once again. The Olga romance is swiftly cut short by her suitor being the head Mr Nasty and that's about all there is to it. It's amenable enough, but nothing particularly inspired. Still, at least it's not stolen from a film. Probably.
