Admin: This is the first part an unofficial and incomplete directory of
threads currently active in the newsgroup alt.dragons-inn, listing threads
beginning with the letters A through E. The information contained herein
was compiled with the assistance of the folks identified as "thread admin"
for each storyline. Anyone who would like to add their thread to this
directory should use the standard format below and email the addition to
talorina@maniac.deathstar.org. Changes to current entries should be sent
to the same address. Information regarding the month/year when a thread
first started, and any Web pages relevant to the threads, are especially
welcome.
HOW TO USE THIS FAQ: This directory is intended to give only the briefest
explanation of a storyline. Requests for further information or for past
posts in any thread -- and especially any questions on whether a new
player may join an existing thread -- should be directed to the email
address listed after "thread admin."

[Canyon's Edge]
A group of novice characters working for the Baron of Carlisle
explore the orc-inhabited canyon below the town of Canyon's Edge.
The kingdom of Talen, where Canyon's Edge is located, was created
with the purpose of providing a venue for adventures with
characters other than "ultra-powerful" mages, swordsmen,
etc. Although the particular storyline of [Canyon's Edge]
is not currently open to new players, writers are encouraged to
start and run their own storylines in the kingdom. Please contact

[Church]:
One of the longer-running storylines in ad-i, [Church] concerns
the Church of the Redeemer's domination of the city of Montfort.
A front for the Dark One in his efforts to take over Ifreann,
the local organization of the Church is headed by the evil, but
oh-so-interesting, Proctor John. Currently (July 1997), [Church]
focuses upon the efforts of Motrinn Hainen (as vicious an assassin
as ever there was, but a charming fellow nonetheless), Cari (a
mute commando and the last active member of the group who
travelled into the future to obtain the Sword of Xeen, which will
one day [we hope] be plunged into PJ's dark and twisted heart),
and Smith (he of the sunglasses, curse, and disturbing aura) to
bring PJ to his well-deserved demise.

In the final days of the Church of the Redeemer in Montfort,
the first beginnings of a new civilian government take shape
among the local survivors. The Citizens' Emergency Council
is organized to help the community rebuild, with the assistance
