Sullivan Walker as Yale Braydon Croix was a soldier in the Elite Forces. Assigned to hunt down and kill anyone opposed to the Council, Croix quickly recognized that his latest target was a group of radical biologists who were only trying to find a way to peacefully leave the stations in search of a better life. In a last minute decision to save them, Croix killed his partner and allowed the radicals to escape. As punishment for his actions, Croix was turned into a cyborg in what was known as the Yale Program (an early attempt at criminal rehabilitation). The program included erasing the criminal's mind and replacing it with a computer-like memory of all history not related to his personal past as well as a veritable encyclopedia of knowledge. In addition to the mind erase, the subject's left arm was replaced with a cyborg arm which was capable of creating holograms. These cyborgs became tutors to the children of wealthy families. Braydon Croix, now known only as Yale, became the tutor to the young Devon Adair. Unfortunately, the procedure caused a conflict within the minds of the cyborgs and many of them became violent. The program was discontinued and the cyborgs destroyed. Devon successfully pleaded with her parents to spare Yale. When Uly was born, he stayed on with Devon to teach Uly. Gentle by nature yet independent of spirit, Yale acts as a mentor to Devon and Uly as well as a guiding influence to the rest of Eden Advance. |
