Marshal Cail - Heirarchy Marshal of the Legion of Fate



Marshal Cail has been a widely recognised agent of the Lady of Fate in the Chicago Deadlands. Dressed in a breastplate over a hooded monk's habit, and wearing a glittering armoured facemask, Cail maintains a strict order among the restless dead of Chicago's necropolis. He does this with the aid of his troupe of Stygian warriors, all of whom appear skeletal in Roman-style armour, apparently blindfolded with relics that edit what the wearers can perceive according to Cail's command.

The passions that drive Cail seem to be those of remorse and duty - making Cail sometimes uncomfortable to be around even if you aren't a Renegade, Heretic or some other enemy of the Hierarchy. Although he never speaks of his mortal life, he has been observed to be oddly deferential to Christian souls - going so far as to turn a discretely blind eye on occasion. The Shroudkiller has recently tentatively identified Cail as an ex-Cross member, but to date there has been no proof offered or found to support this theory.
