Bus Service from Halifax to Sydney

There are a number of bus services between Halifax and Sydney.
The major one is Acadian
Lines, currently owned by SMT. Call 800-567-5151 for fares and schedules. They also
have student rates and a special deal for frequent riders. Return
tickets are discounted as well.

All of them seem to stop in Dartmouth. Reservations are important. They
can't just add another bus. Most of them travel all week long. In Sydney
most of the mini-buses will pick up at Tim Horton's on George St. In
Halifax the major stop seems to be the Holiday Inn on Robie St. The Sunday
trips are usually later in the day.
If you will take a bus from Halifax to Sydney, there are
several componies having such a shuttle service, it costs ~$45 one way.
Scotia Shuttle Service (1-800-898-5883) leaves Halifax at 8am and 5pm;
Starline Shuttle Service (1-800-239-9811) leaves at 1pm; Maclean's
Shuttle Service (1-800-471-7775) leaves at 6pm. It takes about 5
hours.
