System Shock is difficult to categorise. It incorporates shoot-em-up, adventure, puzzle and cyberspace elements, but together it's much more than that. It has a great plot and a cast of dozens of characters. When it was first released it needed quite high specs for its day, but running it now on today's high level systems, the game plays like a dream. It's out on budget now - if you see it, and don't have it already I would strongly advise you to buy it.
Warning: this site contains spoilers for the game. If you've not played the game right through already then I recommend you don't look at some sections. There are several amazing surprises in the course of the game and trust me, you do not want them spoiled. Honestly.
Another important thing: I have not actually finished the game yet (although I'm close), so don't expect a full walkthrough for a while. Please note also that, unless otherwise specified, all information refers to the PC CD version of the game (although most applies to the Mac or PC disc versions). The transcriptions of the emails and logs are from the enhanced CD version (the logs are more concise and more dramatic).
If you're kind enough to want to put a link to this site, thank you, and please do. I created this button for the purpose. Please link it to the main page (triop.html). Thanks.
Want to see more System Shock pages? Visit the Unofficial System Shock homepage. It's pretty good (except for the part where it claims to be the only System Shock page on the Web :) You'll find screenshots and MIDI files there that won't ever be on this page due to space constraints. TRIOPTIMUM supports peaceful coexistence on the Web!
Any submissions for this site are gratefully received. Thanks for visiting the site. Enjoy the game!
