Tinkertot Weapons
Here is a collection of some of the weapons created by Shasha (Ivan Doestovich of the Disavowed). I'll admit that many of these are esoteric and strange, but this should give you an idea of the kind of weird stuff a TinkerTot will make (especially
when slightly insane). Keep in mind that all of these are essentially handmade, so appearance, range, and damage are all variable.
Weedwacker of Death! DC 7
This was one of Shasha's first weapons, and it's truly a disgusting piece of work. It's a scaled up version of an old gardening tool. He replaced the plastic wire with monofiliment and removed the safety guard. At full spool, the spinning wire extends a full meter from the wheel. The handle itself is up to a meter and a half long. At the handle, there is a small dial to draw the wire in or let it out to full spool.
The FleshRipper DC 6
This is another invention from Shasha's garage. Essentially, it's a modified leaf blower, but the changes are deadly. First of all, it has been modified to provide explosive
blasts of air, similar to an air cannon. The really dangerous part is what it fires: powdered glass. Using a top mounted tube, a liter of powdered glass is fed into the barrel. Then, it blows the glass at great speed (but horrible range and accuracy). The effects are very nasty at close range, stripping flesh to the bone.
Triggered Trident DC 4
This was a request from a disavowed Metalhead who wanted the drop on his opponent. It looks like a normal trident, but has a trigger in the handle. When he pulls the trigger,
the three points become projectiles. A second pull ejects the spent cartridges and pushes up a second set of points. It's mostly used as a surprise attack, especially since it takes at least 3 rounds to fully reload.
Palm Pole DC 4
A disavowed Streetfighter always wanted to be armed, so Shasha went to work. The Palm Pole starts as a small tube about three and a half inches long. After a push of the switch, it extends to its maximum length in less than a second. The Palm
Poles' lengths can vary from 1 to 2m feet. It takes 2 rounds to fully recompress it.
Sword Clipper DC 4 / DC 6 (Shearing)
Here's another garden tool gone wrong. It started life as a set of hedge clippers, but the blades have been extended and the grip altered. Instead of the normal two handed
grip, there is a single handle and two overlapping blades. A small lever opens and locks the blades. In the open position, a concealed spring is under tension, providing plenty of potential energy. A trigger allows the user to close the blades with only a twitch. It's used to cut, stab, and shear. Also, Shasha strengthened the individual blades to make it perfect for sword breaking. It has a comfortable handle and the 2 blades are each
at least half a meter. It takes one action to open the blades.
Monoaxe DC 6
Shasha takes the blade from a curved monosword and molds it onto the head of an axe. He makes it in a wide variety of styles, single and double headed, and handles of varying length.
Flash Shield
Using a highly reflective base and a magnesium flash bulb, this shield can deliver a bright flash of light at the opponent (which functions as a dazzle attack). The bulb is triggered by a button near the shield's handle and can flash 3 times before needing replacement.
Spinning shield
Artemis requested this one. Using a round shield and a small motor, this shield can spin at great speeds. This reduces the effects of most substances with a multiple round effect that strike it (napalm, acid, etc). Instead of working every round, it
works one round before sliding off. Additionally, melee attacks are deflected with great force.
Balloon Barrier
Shasha made this especially for Bonepart. A pressurized canister is inserted into an air-proof kevlar
bag. When triggered, the canister releases its contents filling the bag within 2 rounds (usually only 1). Collapsed, they are as small as a 30cm long with a 10cm radius, but may be larger. When full, they can have a three meter diameter or can fill up a room (but larger bags use multiple canisters). Occasionally, dangerous gases are used instead of just compressed air and puncturing these bags can be very dangerous (the gas effects are concentrated). The barriers are often used to block escapes and jam hallways.
The Cone of Cold DC 7
This is a very mutated fire extinguisher. Shasha boosted its capacity and pressure (not too difficult) and then installed a simple firing mechanism. This enables more controlled
aiming and release, but does make it quite bulky. Often it must be worn as a backpack. Rumor has it that he's working with liquid nitrogen and freon for a more powerful version.
Razor cards DC 1
These were invented for a disavowed Gambler with a sense of style. Shasha reinforced the entire deck and gave each card sharpened metallic edges. They don't do much damage, but they are definitely flashy. Shuffling should only be attempted by professionals.
Shatter Sword DC 4 / DC 9 (explosive)
A very elegant and simple design with devastating effects. The end of a sword has a small quantity of explosive inside. The hilt contains the detonator. If the sword is thrust inside and the button pressed, the charge ignites. The explosion coupled with the fragments cause horrendous damage.
Hell's Hockey Sticks DC 5
Ever wondered what would happen if hell froze over? Shasha did, and came up with these handy weapons. Shaped like ordinary hockey sticks, but made of steel with the leading edges honed to razor sharpness. They're a favorite of hockey players and rollerbladers for street combat.
Exploding nunchuks
At first glance, they're an ordinary set of nunchuks, but Shasha has installed a surprise. A turn of the top and you have two grenades (pull the pin by pulling it off of the chain). Currently, there are gas, frag, and dazzle varieties (the incendiary kept exploding).
Steel comp traps DC 3
It looks like an open computer book, but press any key, and the hidden steel jaws snap shut. A very painful and messy booby-trap, but an excellent warning to snoops.
Sleeve squirts
Some magicians do have things up their sleeves. Designed for a disavowed Busker, sleeve squirts function as concealed power squirts. The tubes usually extend out of her sleeves and expel their payload (often a lubricant or acid). She keeps the triggers in her gloves. She can fire 5 squirts from each sleeve.
Flame-on arrows
Originally, this was a Tribal request, but has found acceptance among many of the disavowed. Highly flammable wadding surrounds the shaft of the arrow near the head. A small electronic trigger on the end of the shaft lights the arrow on its release. The effect is quite dramatic and combines fire and AP damage.
Explosive Arrows
Why should Rambo have all the fun? Using pressure sensors and paintballs, Shasha has produced a wide assortment of arrows with surprising effects. If there's a paintball, chances
are there's an arrow. (Use paintball effects, 1 arrow is equivalent to 2-3 paintballs).
Killer Frisbee DC 3
Everyone has thought of this at one time or another, but Shasha has made it reality. After being thrown, centripetal force causes a collection of razor blades to extend and lock into place. It does more damage than a switchblade and is fun for the entire family.
