In the episode "Where No One Has Gone Before" the Enterprise undergoes a new propulsion test. The Traveler's abilities cause the Enterprise to be hurled to Galaxy M33 and then again he hurls them to a place where no one has gone before. Picard and his crew get immense satisfaction out of being in this new place.
Boldly Go... Where No One Has Gone Before: Experience the thrill of being the first beings In this place where dreams become reality.
First ship to come here. If any crew is present here, owner may report icon cards here.
*Becomes it's own spaceline when seeded. Any ship using Lakanta, The Traveler, or Where No One Has Gone Before may relocate here instead of the original target.
Any crew may attempt mission. 25 points, span *
This mission was pretty fun to concieve. At first I thought of having a mission in Galaxy M33 but there is too much in one galaxy to have one mission represent it. Then the idea of the cloudlike bubbly place pictured on the card Where No One Has Gone Before (WNOHGB) came to mind. There is so much to be represented by this place that it is impossible to fit it all on one card. There already is one, WNOHGB. This mission attempts to capture some more of that flavor. With all of those features it would probably have to be printed with a text box the size of that of Q's Planet. First of all the requirements, The first ship to get there is really the only one to be WNOHGB because any following ships would be preceded by the first. This of course would allow for that ship to be destroyed, re-reported and come back here but that's kind of unavoidable. Next is the special reporting ability here. Once you get here your AU cards can report here. This reflects how Worf conjured up his Targ and Yar relived the hunter gangs from her home planet. Note that this would be it's own "AU-door" and you wouldn't need another doorway open to report like this and that this is the owner of the crew not the owner of the mission. The next part is the span, this can only be reached through three Traveler related cards, so you could use the Traveler's skill to move from any spaceline location to this location (he'd phase out to your hand but his AU status would allow you to report him back to your ship on the next turn) or when moving off a spacelines end using Lakanta or WNOHGB you could reappear here and vice-versa. This would bring life to those three under-used cards. The point value may seem a little high but considering all of the work it takes to get here 25 points is well worth the trouble. Now some strategy ideas: the T'Ong can report here (it's technically a spaceline end) which is one way to get around the odd span requirements, another is using Wormholes, on that line of thought a self-seeded Cytherians brings the meager 25 points up to an enviable 40 points (this is the far end of the spaceline), be prepared for Borg ships here because they'll take out your ship which will have to be resurrected before you can get back and complete the mission (the Stargazer and the Traveler are a good combination since it can return to your hand from the discard pile and he'll be back in your hand so you'll be ready to start over in case of destruction), and watch for opponent's who might get there first thus making the mission totally useless to you, unless you have the same ship in your deck. Well that is the most strategy-intense mission I've done yet, hope you enjoyed it.
