In "The Last Outpost" the Enterprise is chasing a Ferengi ship that stole a T-9 Energy Converter from Gamma Tauri IV. Their chase ended with both ships locked in orbit of the last outpost of the Tkon empire. But this dream card takes place on that first planet.
Steal Converter Gamma Tauri IV: Get past planetary defences to steal valuable equipment.
OFFICER + Computer Skill + Transporter Skill T-9 Energy Converter may seed here and is +2 rather than +1.
25 points, span 2
This is the first of these cards that references another card that does not already exist in the game. So here it is:
T-9 Energy Converter
Once per turn, your ENGINEER may switch any two of this ship's unmodified attributes. (Revert at start of next turn.) All attributes are +1 if ENGINEER is . A skilled engineer can use an energy converter to reroute power from different ship's systems. The Ferengi are especially good at manipulating them.
Now back to the mission quickly. This is the first Ferengi only mission, I made it because there won't be too many of these after the first season. The skills required are pretty basic, an OFFICER to lead the mission, computer skill to break into the station and transporter skill to get the converter out. The points are relatively low because the requirements are easy and the seedable card is good to start with, even better when seeded here. I've seen lot's of "Power Transfer" dream cards out there, most of them interrupts but I think that this one makes a lot of sense. The part about Ferengi's making it better is all my invention partly because I think that Ferengi ships will be a little weaker to start with. Seeding it here makes it a virtual Data's Head for the Ferengi only with a weakness, you need an ENGINEER, and a benefit you can switch the attributes. You could even seed a Data's Head along side this to make your Ferengi ship +4 after one mission. Basically this mission is a pretty easy way to enhance your presumably weak Ferengi ships. We'll see how it pans out when "Rules of Acquisition" comes out.
