After a semester long hiatus I'm returning to The Continuing Voyages... I'll start up where I left off with "The Outrageous Okona." Thadiun Okona is a well-meaning transport captain who gets caught smuggling messages and tokens of affection back and forth between two young lovers. In doing this good deed he gets tangled in a web of politics that he can't free himself from without being imprisoned.

This mission is only for those who would be willing to go out of their way to help an unfortunate young couple find romance, for a price. The Ferengi and Non-Aligned could be hired for just such a task. I chose to make it a space mission that occurs between the two planets rather than either one of the specific planets because the actual smuggling is back and forth between them. Smuggling is obvious, Okona had to sneak the messages under the noses of all those dignitaries and hide the fact that he was transporting gifts back and forth. Geology pertains to the large gemstone that was one of those gifts, a bit of a stretch, I know. Law is to get yourself untangled from the political web that caught Okona when the authorities apprehended him. And you need a freighter or a transport to do this carrying of messages and gifts. Of course, the outrageous Okona himself can do the mission from any ship, all by himself. (You can see my dream card version of Okona on my site.) The points are perhaps a little high but Smuggling and Law are both rare skills that rarely appear with Geology and you do need one of those specific ships so I think its balanced. The span is high representing going back and forth between the two planets. The picture on this mission would have two planets one large and close up in one corner and one smaller (but still distinguishable) in the opposite corner.
