In "A Matter of Honor" Commander Riker serves aboard the I.K.C. Pagh. While aboard, one of the officers tells about the battle of Tranome Sar where his father was captured and later returned to die an honorable death on Qo'noS.
A Good Day to Die Tranome Sar: Retrieve prisoner of war and allow for an honorable death.
Leadership x2 + Diplomacy x2 + Honor x2 OR OFFICER x2 + Anthropology When completed, opponent must return one captive here. X=10 if that captive is later discarded at Qo'noS or Halee System.
30+X points, span 3
This is quite obviously a Klingon only mission. Only the Romulans were involved at Tranome Sar and they are the ones returning the captive. I'm assuming that Tranome Sar is a space location although there's no reason to believe it isn't a planet. The first requirement is two DipHoLes. K'Mtar, Gowron, and Governor Worf are all prime candidates. I figure that you'd need leaders to lead a rescue mission, Diplomacy to get the Romulans to give the captive back, and Honor as a motive for letting them die. The second option has OFFICERs standing in for the leader's role and Anthropology because it was a battle of the past. The special text on this mission is pretty straight forward. The whole purpose of the mission is to get back a prisoner of war, so the opponent has to comply by giving you one. Then, because Klingons can't stand the thought of captivity and would rather have died in battle, they can make up for that with an honorable death either at the homeworld or at "A Good Place to Die." To ensure a captive you might want to seed a Cardassian Trap against yourself here and even redshirt to make sure your opponent has someone to return to you. The points come in two stages for this mission. 30 for getting your captive back and then another 10 when they're allowed to die. Span is average. I'm very pleased with how this mission turned out.
