The more security you have, the less you have that's worth protecting :-) Case in-point, my current system:
The main dog is our Doberman Remy. Should the main dog fail to perform his duties (such as pooping and biting anyone that comes to visit), the emergency back-up dog, Camille(or Peanut the Pom, as I call her) will take over. I have spent more on animals(and on replacing things the animals have destroyed, like my furniture, toys, small neighborhood children) than the value of anything I might have once wanted protected. And I haven't seen my friends in awhile.....
Don't get me wrong. I love the dogs. But there is nothing in my house now that doesn't either have chew marks, or pee stains on it. Just like having kids. And in the end, it is pointless, as I have an electronic home security system installed in my home, and of-course(the best security of all) nosy old people next door. You know the type. They're always peeking thru the drapes. I love this neighborhood. The only thing worth stealing from me would be the home security system. I guess the dogs are here to protect that :-)
