You transmit a message to Fireflight: I am in the middle of an experiment, but let me set it back into statis. I will be down there and make an examination shortly. Transmission from Fireflight: tanks, I don't tink I could go on in dis war without my buddie skydive, but don't tell him I said dat.. You move west to the Main Lobby - Second Floor... Perceptor calmly enters the repair bay as the doors slide open. The Autobot scientists looks with softly-glowing yellow optics toward the pair of Aerialbots. "Salutations," he says politely. "What has transpired to render you in your current condition?" Skydive lays on a table looking in perfectcondition...he just isn't moving Fireflight is also lying on a table, giving a half grin. Perceptor walks over near the table and peers down at Skydive. Glancing over toward Fireflight and noticing the grin, the scientist asks, "Is there something amusing? I find it hard to understand the application of humor to serious injuries." Fireflight shakes his head, "Naw, I was just thinkin how I'm gonna destroy those cons for doin this stuff.." Skydive lays quite still as you look him over. You notice that he has no external signs of damage. He even looks as if he has been repaiered....but he still isn't moving. He optics show no glow You take several moments to run a medical scan on Skydive... You take several moments to run a medical scan on Fireflight... Perceptor's head is pulled within his frame as his chest plate folds down. His light cannon moves into a central position atop his shoulders and rotates to point slightly down. His hands retract into his forearms as his arms rotate into place beside his main body. His legs twist oddly and form a base stand. Instead of a 20-foot tall robot, you now see before you a cube-shaped inspection unit about 6 feet in height. Red Inspection Unit collapses into his altmode and swivels his inspection lens slowly through the air. A series of whirrs and clicks is made as he scans the two Aerialbots for injuries. Red Inspection Unit pauses as its sensors pass over Fireflight. "I am surprised that you were even able to muster the energon to make the radio transmission to me," comes the scientist's voice from the boxlike unit. "There appears to be internal systems damage as well..." Perceptor turns and examines Skydive with another pass. "I am not sure exactly what is causing Skydive's current state of incapacitation." Red Inspection Unit activates another detector and sweeps over Skydive for a third time. "Skydive's systems themselves appear to be in optimum condition. I am not detecting any injuries, but whoever repaired him previously neglected to rewire his cognitive matrix into his supplementary systems." The Red Inspection Unit suddenly jolts into motion as the sounds of whirrs and clicks emanate from it. The base straightens and form into legs. Along the sides, boxes turn and rotates as hands emerge, forming the arms. The magnifying lens rotates to point forward. The sample plate folds up, revealing a large Autobot insignia. At the same time, the head of Perceptor appears next to the lens barrel. Perceptor steps over to one of the nearby counters and begins to withdraw a various collection of tools from the nearest cabinet. Assembling them in parallel onto a tray, the red Autobot turns and walks back toward the Aerialbots. He turns first toward Fireflight and says, "Your injuries are more serious, and they require immediate attention. While I am performing the necessary repairs, please inform me of what details you can recall of the incident that rendered you in this state." Fireflight says, "Well, 4 guys ganged up on me, and hit me wit missiles and lasers.." Powerglide enters from the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. Powerglide walks boldly into view. Powerglide walks in, looking in annoyingly good condition. Perceptor is standing next to Fireflight, obviously in the initial stages of a repair procedure of some sort. Powerglide looks around, checking the condition of the various 'bots in the room. Perceptor sets the severely-damaged coverplate of Fireflight off to his left. He studies the internal damage for several moments before grabbing a pair of pliers from the tool tray. Reaching forward with dexterous caution, Perceptor begins to twist several of the severed wires together, thereby re-establishing their connections. Powerglide reaches the aerialbots. Skydive is laying on the table unconscious Powerglide looks from one 'bot to the other, his face radiating concern. "What happened to them?" Fireflight says, "Gangbeat, I haven't recovered from when you were here last.." Powerglide raises an opticbrow. "Didn't realise Skydive was out of it..." Powerglide watches as Fireflight loses consciousness, and his face becomes set in grim determination. Without another word, he turns and strides out. Powerglide leaves to the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. Perceptor resets the wire connections on Fireflight, then comments, "It will take a short while for those connections to re-establish themselves." Perceptor looks toward one of the medical understudies and says, "Maintain constant observation of Fireflight's systems. I am going to see what happened with Skydive." Powerglide enters from the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. Powerglide walks boldly into view. Powerglide comes back in, looking noticeably calmer. He walks over to Skydive's medbedside. Perceptor has moved from working on Fireflight, and the scientist is holding a datapad. His yellow optics flicker as he skims through the informative contents of the item. Powerglide mutters something about young 'bots without adequate support. Powerglide looks up at Perceptor. "What's the diagnosis on these two?" Perceptor calmly sets the datapad back onto the table as he looks to notice Powerglide. "Fireflight and Skydive sustained heavy injuries in substantive combat with four Decepticons," he replies flatly. "Fireflight's injures are quite serious, and the extensive internal damage will require time for his systems to make their own internal adjustments as repairs progress. Skydive seems to have received medical attention already, but the final connections between his cognitive and supplementary systems were not made." Powerglide sighs, and flexes his right hand. "In other words, Fireflight was fried and Skydive is out of it. Who were the 'cons?" Perceptor shrugs his shoulders. "Their identities have not been made known to me," comes the response. Powerglide's optics flash. "Accursed 'cons. If they recover, could you contact me? Looks like I'll be flying solo for a while..." Powerglide heads out. Powerglide leaves to the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. Perceptor leans over Skydive and opens the coverplate for his internal systems. Inspecting the recent repairs carefully, Perceptor checks to make sure that the repairs were thorough and covered all required modifications. With a rock-steady hand, Perceptor carefully removes the covering for Skydive's cognitive matrix. The matrix is the single piece of the Autobot that provides him with a conscious awareness of himself. The extent of his injuries must have led to its deactivation. Locating the disconnected transistor, Perceptor establishes the connection. You don't have the heal ability. Perceptor goes to work on Skydive, bringing him back to consciousness. You successfully revive Skydive. Skydive stirs as his optics flickr on and off multiple times before staying on...he slowly shakes his head and looks up into Perceptors face, "what...." when a wave of dizziness comes over him he lays his head back down Perceptor's mouth curls into a smile as he calmly says, "Greetings, Skydive. Welcome back to awareness. You sustained heavy injuries, thankfully all of which appear to have been completely repaired." Skydive turns his head slowly towards perceptor, then back up to the ceiling, 'How ...long...?" Perceptor's optics flicker in surprise, as it appears he does not have an answer to that question. "I do not know when you originally arrived," he replies to the Aerialbot. "Fireflight alerted me to your conditions just a few hours ago." Skydive begins to try to prop himself up as a look of concern crosses his face, "Fireflight..? Is he o.k. where is he?" Skydive sits up completely and looks over to the other table Perceptor motions his arm over to the adjacent table. "He's right here," he says as he indicates the unconscious form of the other Aerialbot. "The severity of his injuries necessitated that I perform some internal systems repairs before beginning further treatments." Skydive lies back down, "What happened to him?" Perceptor cocks his head to the side as he looks over toward Skydive. "Do you remember anything from the conflict which landed you here?" he asks. Skydive shakes his head to clear it slightly, 'Yes, somewhat. I was going to investigate canada when two stunticons jumped me." Skydive looks towards Perceptor, "I think that is what happened." Perceptor glances back toward Fireflight. "The two of you sustained significant damage," he remarks. "Was backup unavailable to provide you with assistance?" Skydive looks up, "No back up that had flight capability..and before I could take combat to somewhere where back up was accessible...I had to crash land..so I never reall got the cahnce to call for back up." Perceptor's optics widen upon hearing the recount. "The medics apparently were able to give you appropriate medical attention earlier," he says. "Unfortunately, they were unable to connect your cognitive matrix due to reasons I have not yet uncovered. It may be advisable to inquire to senior medical staff." Skydive slowly swings him self to the edge of his table....... Perceptor puts his hand on Skydive's shoulder. "Take it easy, Skydive," he cautions. "Your gyrosensors may have become slightly misaligned due to your injuries. It may take a few moments for recalibration." Skydive nods in agreement, "You are right." his optics flicker as he does a system's cehck and he then speaks again, "I don't know if I thanked you or not. Thank you." Perceptor smiles and politely nods his head. "You are welcome," he says courteously. Skydive begins to lightly stretch his limbs, and turns towards Perceptor, "I think that the cons are trying to claim canada. That is one thing I remember." Perceptor's yellow optics flash with surprise... perhaps amusement. "The Decepticons are trying to lay claim to one of the largest countries in the world?" he asks with awe. "The tight relationship between the United States and Canada is bound to create a number of conflicts for that kind of Decepticon assertion." Skydive nods in agreement, "They don't really listen to reason. I made that perfectly clear....but I guess as I was talking their guns were speaking back for them. I intend to keep patrols of that area constant just to make sure." Perceptor nods his head toward Skydive. "That would be a wise choice of action," he says. "Increased patrols should help to curtail the likelihood of the Decepticons being able to strike freely at will." Skydive nods again and glances over at Fierflight still speaking, "Yes, it is very dangerous to be out in that area." SKydive shakes his head again, "I need time to think about how to make it not so." Perceptor nods again toward Skydive. Turning, he picks of the tray of utility tools on the adjacent table and walks over toward the cabinet. Perceptor replaces the tools and closes the door. "Do not try to stress your systems further, Skydive," he says. "Be sure to notify either myself or someone on the medical staff if there are any inefficiencies in your repairs." Skydive nods, "I will." Skydive lies back down on the table. Skydive grabds his data pad from a side table and pulls up a map of north america on it.... Perceptor glances toward Fireflight, then looks back at Skydive and says, "Things seem to be under relative control here right now, so unless there are any further emergencies, I should return to my work in the laboratory." Skydive also glances towards Fireflight then back at Pereptor, 'No, there is nothing futhe that I need. And thank you again." Perceptor leans forward in a small bow before turning to leave the repair bay. "Take care, Skydive, and notify me if you need to." Waving his arm, the scientist bids Skydive farewell and walks out to the lobby.
