The metal frame reflects the lights of the lab with a brilliance unparalleled by any of the other items present. The pure white chrome symbolizes the heroism and logic for which Prowl was so well known. Unfortunately, the blue optics contain not the slightest flicker of life in them. Optimus_Prime says, "I hope that is enoughto to make him work." Televis says, "Sooon Ifgor SOON.." Perceptor says, "I suppose that is all we have to go upon..." Televis quotes, "Plug it in plug it in!" Perceptor walks over to the computer terminal, inputting commands for the process. Grabbing several heavy-alloy communication cables, Perceptor turns to Optimus, "Where do you need to be connected, Prime?" Televis' faces spin around and around, barely missing bankrupt and landing on his Mad Scientist face. Optimus_Prime says, "Connect to my cerebral cortex at the base of the neck juncture and I will open up my chest so that you may put the second connection on the Matrix itself" Optimus_Prime opens his chest as he says that, revealing the pitifully dim light of the Matrix that pulses slightly as it is exposed to view. Televis quotes, "Heh.. BRAIN master... Heh.. heh..." Perceptor presses a switch; suddenly, a table shoots out from the wall behind Optimus Prime. "Go ahead and lie down." Perceptor glances towards Televis, "I STILL have not had a chance to view that Terran film..." Optimus_Prime lies down carefully on the table Perceptor carefully turns Optimus' head to the side and makes the connection to his cerebral cortex. Televis grins. "We'll hafta show it to ya sometime. No Scientist is complete without that important bit og human documentation. Perceptor stares reverently at the Matrix for a moment. Perceptor says softly, "I had always imagined it possessing a much brighter glow..." Perceptor shrugs as he connects the other cable to the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. Optimus_Prime says, "It has." Optimus_Prime replies in just as soft a voice, "But I am not the one it was meant for..." Perceptor halts suddenly, "What are you saying?!" Perceptor quickly turns towards the computer terminal and presses and unobtrusive button, then turns back to Prime. Optimus_Prime looks at Perceptor, his face emotionless. "Hot Rod was the Chosen One." Perceptor says, "...but you are the still the greatest leader we have ever had..."" Perceptor hesitates, "...are you not?" Optimus_Prime says, "That is a matter of opinion" Optimus_Prime says, "I do not place myself in that category. It is for others to say." Perceptor mutters to Televis, "... sure... computer is monitoring Prime's..." You whisper "Make sure that the computer is monitoring Prime's mental processes fully." to Televis. Televis says, "Two out of four chose Optimus as the numero uno holder. Clinically tested and approved." Perceptor says, "It is for others to say if you are Optimus Prime or not?" Televis nods and starts calibrating the monitors. Televis hrmms/ " Optimus_Prime says, "It is for others to say whether I am a great leader." Optimus_Prime says, "I am Optimus Prime." Perceptor glances quickly towards Prowl, noting that the cables are not yet connected to him. Televis says, "Was your name Hot Prime before?" Televis says, "Or Hot Op..." Optimus_Prime looks at Televis strangely. "Negative." Optimus_Prime doesn't notice the cables aren't connected to Prowl quite yet Televis shrugs his tentacles, unable to figure out the naming system. :^) Perceptor says, "Hmm...what can you tell me about yourself prior to receiving the Autobot Matrix?" Perceptor mutters to Televis, "... begun the... of... dare not... to..." You whisper "I have already begun the neural monitoring of Prime. We dare not risk anything to Prowl before fully determining his capabilities." to Televis. Optimus_Prime looks at Perceptor. "I was Orion Pax." Televis nods. Perceptor throws his optics towards a small monitor somewhat obscured from the view of Optimus Prime, "Yes, anything more?" Televis says, "Orion Pax... Well you kept the initials, I guess." Televis is still trying to figure out how the matrix names things. :^) Perceptor inquires, "What about your original ascention to that of Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader?" Televis says, "So... When you get the Matrix you get the Prime thing knocked into your name.. Representing the best... As in Prime Time." Optimus_Prime says, "I was rebiult to become Optimus Prime. Alpha Trion passed the Matrix to me." Perceptor nods, "What about your voyage with the Ark...what was its purpose?" Optimus_Prime says, "Energon collection." Optimus_Prime doesn't seem to be doing a great deal of embellishing. He just answers the questions Televis says, "So how'd it get stuck in a volcano?" Optimus_Prime looks at Televis. "I am not sure if having the name Prime is a requirement of the Matrix. Optimus_Prime says, "We crashed" Televis says, "Well DUH." Televis grins. Perceptor says, "Tell me about your first experiences here on Earth..." Optimus_Prime just looked at you. Perceptor mutters to Televis, "Are... looking... to you? He..." You whisper "Are any of the readings looking strange to you? He seems quite...unemotional for the Prime I remember..." to Televis. Televis mutters to Perceptor, "... more... from..." Televis whispers "I can get more detail from a magic 8-ball.." Optimus_Prime is silent for a moment. Then he slowly answers, as if not quite sure of the place or time of the memories. "The Ark... rebuilt us... We learned of the humans. Spike Witwicky and Sparkplug Witwicky became our allies..... The Decepticons attempted to ... leave Earth with enough energon to destroy Cybertron..." Perceptor frowns somewhat. Televis quotes in a german accent, "Oond how doez zat make you feeel? Perceptor says, "The humans...tell me how you feel about them, what made you stay on Earth when the opportunity to return to Cybertron presented itself?" Optimus_Prime looks at Televis. "I do not understand the question." Televis mutters to himself, " Reply Hazy... again later." Optimus_Prime returns his attention to Perceptor. "The humans must be protected from the Decepticon threat." Perceptor blinks, taken aback by the quick and simple answer. Perceptor inquires again, "What about the humans themselves?" Optimus_Prime says, "I do not understand the quesiton" Perceptor takes several steps back, then glances to Televis with a hint of fear in his optics. Televis mutters to Perceptor, "... we... a... bod." Televis whispers "What we got here is a Magic 8-Ball with a bod." Perceptor says, "You just mentioned the humans had to be protected...why?" Optimus_Prime looks at Perceptor. "Because they are unable to defend themselves against the Decepticon threat." Perceptor looks fearfully towards Televis. Perceptor says, "Tell me of your opinions of the humans..." Perceptor adds, "...with no mentioning of the Decepticons." Optimus_Prime considers this. "The humans are good allies. They are interesting organisms that have a right to freedom and life which is not interfered with by any other alien beings." Perceptor mutters to Televis, "... the... am... to lock... Prowl's... works,... do... to... matrix... frame..." You whisper "Before I finish the connection, I am going to lock down all motor control of Prowl's body. If anything works, I do not trust this mockery to place the right personality matrix in the frame..." to Televis. Perceptor says, "Why is any Autobot presence maintained on Earth, then? Are we not interfering?" Televis mutters to Perceptor, "Roger that Perky." Televis whispers "Roger that Perky." Optimus_Prime says, "We must protect the humans from the Decepticon threat." Perceptor continues listening to Prime as he turns to the computer terminal. ausing you to react this way. :) The Reconstruction seems to relax as gears release tension and mechanisms unwind. Lights continue to flash on the internal circuitry, however. Televis quotes, "It's working... It's WORKING!" Perceptor blinks towards Televis, throwing his Optics in the direction of the still-unconnected communication cable. Televis mutters to Perceptor, "... say... on." Televis whispers "Mad scientist talk. Gotta say it when we turn stuff on." Perceptor mutters to Televis, "... entirely... computer." You whisper "I just locked down all motor neuron control mechanisms. They are entirely under the control of the computer." to Televis. Optimus_Prime glances over at Prowl. "How long until you will be able to determine if you can revive him?" Perceptor seems not to even notice the change in subject, "We can move onward with the attempt." Perceptor walks over towards the Reconstruction, "Hmm...this cable seems to have slipped off..." Perceptor connects the communication cable to the neural circuits of the robot. Optimus_Prime's optics flash in what appears to be concern. "Will that cause problems?" Perceptor shakes his head, "No, I have resecured the connection." Optimus_Prime nods, accepting the explaination and reassurance Perceptor says, "Okay, that should do it...we may begin." Perceptor says, "Prime, if you will do what you must?" Optimus_Prime's optics dim for a moment as if he is concentrating internally Televis grins. "So where's the big lever? Perceptor looks towards the monitors, "Hmm...not as much activity as I would have surmised..." The Matrix glows for a brief moment, than dims down to a lesser glow than it evidenced earlier. The Reconstruction's eyes and limbs continue to hold their cold, lifeless shine. Optimus_Prime's optics flicker Televis says, "Maybe if we hit it with lightning. Where do you keep the platform that raises through the cieling?" Perceptor looks sharply towards Televis, "What?!" Televis seems shocked. "You don't HAVE one? Ah well..." Perceptor shakes his head, "I presume it concerns that movie of which you so often speak..." Perceptor returns his attention to Optimus Prime. Televis grins "Yeah." Televis hrmms and monitors the screens, adjusting anything he needs to. Optimus_Prime continues concetrating on something... Perceptor says quietly, "I do not know what is happening, but I hope it is for our benefit." Perceptor looks to Televis, "Are there any readings on Prowl?" Televis hrmms. Televis says, "Nadfa. Cold as a well digger's canary." Optimus_Prime finally comes out of his "trance". He looks at Perceptor. "Anything?" Perceptor frowns, "Nothing at all, Prime." Televis says, "Bummer." Perceptor asks, "Could you find anything in the Matrix? Optimus_Prime seems to frown. "It... did not communicate with me." Televis says, "Were my keys in there cause I was looking.." Perceptor nods, "Hmm...perhaps we will just need to attempt again later." Perceptor frowns as he disconnects the cables from Optimus Prime and the Matrix. Televis nods. "Well that was anticlamactic... Optimus_Prime says, "I wish to keep trying until it is clear that we cannot revive him. If Whiz and Firestar had not continued attempting with me, I would not be here." Perceptor glances towards Televis, "Was /everything/ recorded by the computer?" Televis grins. "Anyhoo I have a party to catch on Junk. See you guys later. Lemme know when you're ready for try 2. Perceptor nods to Televis, "I will do so, Televis. Thank you tremendously for your assistance!" Televis nods. "Uh huh. It's all in the mem banks. EVERYTHING. Like WHOA! Televis Totally shifts to his... her valley girl mode! Toootally! Televis quotes, "So like- I'm going. Seeya!" Perceptor chuckles, "Farewell, Televis." Televis scoots himself off. Televis leaves to the Main Lobby - Second Floor to the west. ---------------------LOG ENDS - STATISTICS----------------
