Log edited with Logedit 2.6.9pl on Thu Oct 2 10:05:36 EDT 1997 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Ultra Magnus spins around from the console to Teletran Two. He nods his head in a quick greeting to Arcee, then replies to her question, "Unfortunately, this entire situation is far too reminiscent of what happened with the attempted Optimus Prime reval a year ago." The Autobot commander's optics seem to dim slightly as he pauses. "I am afraid that Whiz has really lost her grip on reality," he says, "she was supposed to be removed from duty as per orders, but her persistance will only continue to cause further disarray within the faction." Arcee states rather vocally, "Ultra Magnus, I agree with you." Ultra Magnus says, "stands up from the seat. His posture seems to imply a bit of exhaustion, but he tries to straighten himself. Glancing toward the door leading back into the lobby, he asks, "Have you seen the ...body?"" Ultra Magnus stands up from the seat. His posture seems to imply a bit of exhaustion, but he tries to straighten himself. Glancing toward the door leading back into the lobby, he asks, "Have you seen the ...body?" Arcee nods slowly, "I've seen it, and spoken to it." Arcee says, "I am not convinced that it's Rodimus Prime, in my own opinion, it's something Whiz has done just to be seen as right."" Ultra Magnus blinks in moderate surprise. "Spoken to it?" he splutters. "Well, that fits in accordance with what happened ...last time." Arcee folds her arms, nodding, "I'm rather upset ... personally ... at this, Ultra Magnus. I spoke to him, and was there within minutes of his reactivation, I also had a minor arguement with Whiz..." Ultra Magnus lets his arms fall to his side, then clasps them behind his back. "An argument with Whiz?" he asks. "Can you please go into more detail? What happened?" Arcee looks up, speaking in a detached manner, "I suggested that he be moved to his private quarters to rest, and to keep him out of view of the other Autobots, which I did not mention, until we were sure that he was truly Prime. She insisted that he remain in the repair bay so that she could watch over him, since he was newly reactivated. I continued on insisting, then I realized just how upset she was becoming when I kept asking if she was sure it was really him, and not a zombie again. It was at that moment that Rodimus interupted, asking us not to argue, to which we slowed down, then I felt that something was extremely amiss and walked out. I am not convinced that is Rodimus Prime." Ultra Magnus frowns noticably. "Whiz was removed from active duty for a reason," the commander says, "and this course of events only goes to further prove that she has failed to adequately attempt to cope with the loss of Rodimus Prime." Ultra Magnus shifts his weight as he idly glances toward one of the security monitors. Looking back to Arcee, he continues, "So, he spoke to you? I wonder if this apparition would be able to be easily disproven as Rodimus. I'm really unhappy about the fact that Whiz has already delivered reports about this...it's only going to serve to undermine the chain of command's authority as well as create rifts among the entire faction." Arcee says, "I reminded her of being removed from duty,... she then asked Rodimus if he'd reinstate her, since she didn't have authority over me, and suggested I follow my own advice and leave him alone so he could rest." She sighs a bit at the follow up, "I'm not sure, but until we find out for sure, and I have no idea how to do that, that he is or isn't Rodimus Prime, but just a 'ghost' of his former self. Personally, I think we should move him to a secure area, away from the other Autobots so we can observe him."" Ultra Magnus nods his head toward Arcee in partial agreement. "I can see the reasoning in that, but maybe we should try to find out more for ourselves. You say the body is just sitting in the repair bay?" Arcee nods, "It's active as well, but I'm not sure if it's conscioius." Arcee waves a hand, "At the moment." Ultra Magnus says calmly, "Let's go check..." He slowly lumbers toward the door into the lobby and politely motions for Arcee to follow. You move west to the Main Lobby - First Floor... Main Lobby - First Floor(#357 RLntN) Arcee enters from the Command Center to the east. Arcee follows almost right behind you. After stepping into the lobby, Ultra Magnus pauses as he looks toward the doors to the repair bay. He steps toward and hesitates before the slide open. With a quick and long step, he moves through the doors. You move south to the Repair Bay... Repair Bay(#363 RntN) Rodimus Prime considers a bit fuzzily. "Is it online?" Pak-Gor says, "Ah. Hey UM. The reports of Rod's death were greatly exagerated. And his comeback wasn't." Arcee enters from the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. Dice looks up, "Magnus, I was just about to go looking for you. Prime wanted to see you.": Longsight looks up, "Well speak and you shall recieve my friends!" Arcee walks in closely behind Ultra Magnus, giving the room a somewhat critical scan. Double-Take hoboys, sensing Ultra Magnus come in with large footfalls. He pulls out his medcorder and starts scanning Rod, "So, any headaches?... any pain?..." Ultra Magnus slowly steps into the repair bay from the lobby. He stops as he enters and moves along the far wall. The Autobot commander peers with inquisitive blue optics toward the construction on the table. Rodimus Prime tries to see around Double-Take without much success given his limited range of vision. "No, ever'thing's jus' kinda... fuzzy... who'zere?" Arcee files in by Ultra Magnus, her mouth shut into a somewhat pressed line. Dice walks back over to flashbacks table, shaking her head as she pats the little form gently, "Why the hell didn't you run when you got out? They couldn't have caught you...". Pak-Gor waits for Arcee to point and say, "SEE?" Double-Take hmmms... "Well, Pak-Gor, me, Ultra Magnus, Arcee, and..." he looks towards Dice, "A private I don't know who..." Ultra Magnus nods toward everyone gathered and says calmly, "Greetings, everyone." He strides up to one of the computer stations and enters his access code. Pulling up a medical report of some sort, he peruses the information with dedicated attention. Medical Report: For those who doubt(#5960 On=) I, Pak-Gor, Fully endorse this life certificate, and declare Rod to be officially and totally living. Systems are normal, neural net's a real gosh darned neural net and has the nintendo seal of quality, and personality is back to normal, albeit temporarily disoriented. Rod lives. Signed, Pak-Gor. VERY official and stuff. Flashback, for her part, remains still and silent, seeming to gaze at Dice, though the indigo optics are dark. Double-Take opens a pannel on the side of his head, and attaches a wire to a similar part on Rod's head, "Can you see better now? Through my optics?..." Frowning somewhat, Ultra Magnus turns from the monitor, having completed reading the reports. He stares for a moment at the figure on the table, then looks toward Pak-Gor. Ultra Magnus lifts his right arm and discreetly motions the Junkion over. Rodimus Prime flinches, "Gah, stop that, y'r making me dizzy." Arcee remains near the wall, her optics purposely diverted from Rodimus' form and looking to the present medics and monitors instead. She doesn't say a word, merely remaining a watchful, somewhat seething presence. Double-Take pulls it out, "Sorry." Pak-Gor steps up. "Hey Mag Roadster. Double-Take looks towards Pak-Gor, "We've got some residual damage to the optic processor, and something's screwy in the equilibrium subsystems..." Krystal Bryant frowns and looks across at Ultra MAgnus, narrowing her eyes. "It's true." she states flatly. Dice looks at Rodimus, "Dice...". Double-Take nods, "Right, nice to meet you Dice..." he turns towards Pak-Gor, "You think we should go in now, fix it up? I don't like the idea of messing with it 'till it's more stable, but you're the neurosurgeon..." Pak-Gor turns to DT. "yeah I expected a personality flaw or two. Probably shouldn't work on that stuff right away. Need to let him recover himself for a little bit. Ultra Magnus smiles diplomatically with a ever-so-slight nod of his head. The towering commander leans over to speak to Pak-Gor in a quiet voice. He mutters to Pak-Gor, "Hello,... I... read... report... say that... entire situation is... a year... Everyone thought we had... returned... us... all... ghostly... of one." Pak-Gor senses "Ultra Magnus smiles diplomatically with a ever-so-slight nod of his head. The towering commander leans over to speak to Pak-Gor in a quiet voice. "Hello, Pak-Gor. I just read your report ...I must say that I disagree. This entire situation is entirely too similar to what happened a year ago. Everyone thought we had a leader returned to us when instead all we had was the ghostly memory of one."" Rodimus Prime twitches his fingers from where his left hand rests over his chest, trying to make a beckoning gesture and only managing the bare rudimentaries. "Ultr' Magnus..? Arcee? C'm're, I can't see you..." Double-Take says, "Anything I can do? Can't lend my optics, I don't think..." Arcee doesn't reply, attempting to keep her optics on /anything/ in the room and focused in one spot, as long as it isn't red, yellow and orange. Pak-Gor mutters to Ultra Magnus, "Nu... isn't... back... more 'cause... revive him.... matrix did.... by... some... voo-doo, but..." Pak-Gor whispers "Nu uh. This isn't that. Rod's back to life and he's enjoying it a lot more 'cause of what me and Whiz did, but we didn't revive him. The matrix did. Optimus was revived by WHIZ. Matrix got some strange voo-doo, but it do it well." Double-Take hmmms, scanning, "Maybe if I can make some sort of visor..." Bluestreak glances around at the rather large gathering, not quite seeing everyone. "Hey... What's going on?" Ultra Magnus turns his head as he looks again toward the table. He switches his gaze toward Arcee and makes a shrug of his shoulders. Glances to Pak-Gor, he nods his head in understanding. Ultra Magnus then turns to face everyone in the repair bay. He straightens his stance and says, "All non-medics need to leave the repair bay now, please." Rodimus Prime shakes his head slightly. "Still.. recal'bra'ing ever'thing, Double-Take..." Longsight raises his hand, "Uh fellows? Maybe all the decepticon parts and stuff I stole from 'em will help?" Krystal Bryant frowns more deeply, a low growl dying in her throat as she picks up the conversation from intent. Arcee questions, "Including me, Ultra Magnus?" Double-Take nods, "All right, I'll just monitor ya 'till I can do anything..." Double-Take looks up to Ultra Magnus, "A few visitors wouldn't hurt." Bluestreak blinks, noticing Rodimus is alive, and talking . "Rodimus?" Longsight folds his arms and is glad he can fix people.. Dice looks really confused, "I'm a medic, but just with humans. Sorry for asking stupid questions, but I guess I have to go too, right?". Ultra Magnus shakesh is head toward Arcee. "No, I would like you to stay," he says. Turning to Double-Take, Ultra Magnus says, "Not in this instance, Double-Take." Looking toward the Junkions, he says, "I would like for all of you to leave as well...except Pak-Gor." Pak-Gor actually seems to be taking Rod's healing more seriously than most people would have ever seen him take something. Rodimus Prime says, "Hey, what's goin' on?" Longsight hmmms, "Uh... I'm really good at fixing people... can I stay? Paky and I have worked on stuff before.." Dice shrugs, "Apparently so. No problem...could someone find it in their hearts to fix Flashback here up enough for her to be online at least? So I can scold her later?". Dice leaves to the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. Bluestreak says, "...You're... like.... there." He glances over to Ultra Magnus, then to the various medics. He begins talking, stumbling over his own words, "Am I missing something? Wasn't he... like... Not ... alive?" Arcee nods to Ultra Magnus, making her way to the opposite side of Rodimus Prime. She drops her arms to her sides and glances across at Ultra Magnus, a bit uncertainly, then toward the leaving Autobots and Junkions, her expression almost reflective of a rather deep sinking feeling she has. Krystal Bryant throws a glance at Arcee, and tightens her jaw rather defiantly as Ultra Magnus begins ushering people out. Pak-Gor seems confident, and glad that HE can HANDLE the truth! Bluestreak begins backing out with everyone else, not quite sure of what to make of what he sees. Ultra Magnus nods toward Bluestreak. "That is correct, and we are going to try to settle this," he says in a resolute voice. Double-Take continues scanning intently, looking up at the retreating audience with some sympathy. He returns to his job. Flashback, predictably, remains where she is. Bluestreak leaves to the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. Rodimus Prime twists his head slightly, trying to see what's going on. "Settle what...?" Bluestreak enters from the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. Bluestreak pops back in OOCly to watch and stuff. Ultra Magnus nods his head toward Arcee. His blue optics dim slightly, hinting at how much he dislikes having to shove friends and allies from the repair bay. He mutters to Arcee, "... does speak... a similar tone, but I... this... on..." Arcee senses "Ultra Magnus nods his head toward Arcee. His blue optics dim slightly, hinting at how much he dislikes having to shove friends and allies from the repair bay. "It does speak in a similar tone, but I am still not confident about this automaton on the table."" Krystal Bryant pats Rodimus's bulky red shoulder as she grudgingly hauls herself from the med table. "Don't worry," she says softly. "I'll be right with you, you know. I don't have to be in here to be here, you know." Longsight stays where he is, wanting to help and looking to pak as if pleading to let him stay... he just wants to help.. Double-Take takes Pak-Gor aside for a second... Double-Take mutters to Pak-Gor, "... think we... risk... losing the... point,... shock... probably..." Rodimus Prime frowns uncertainly. "Yeah, okay..." Arcee responds a bit louder, She mutters to Ultra Magnus, "... please... from... to... anything... Rodimus,... hard enough as... is.... even... might... a..." You sense Arcee responds a bit louder, "Would you please refrain from referring to him as anything but Rodimus, it's hard enough as it is.... even if he might only be a clone ..." Pak-Gor mutters to Double-Take, "... If... jump... body... it in... it.... top... Rod..." Double-Take nods, and returns to his post, looking towards Magnus expectantly. Rodimus Prime demands irritably, "What's ever'one mumbling about?" Longsight hmmmms and wonders on over to flashback, looking at her closely... Longsight pulls out a medical scanner and runs a check on Flashback. Ultra Magnus takes a hesitant step toward the table. He leans over, running his optics along the length of the body. The Autobot commander shakes his head and says, "Body work is obviously identical. I give the medics credit for that...I just wish this conclusion had not been prematurely alluded to." Ultra Magnus glances back toward Arcee, then quickly to the figure on the table. "Please relax," he says in a calmy tone. "Getting yourself worked up will only cause a more rapid ...deterioration." Pak-Gor grins. "It's one of the steps that leads to acceptance. Denial. Pak-Gor says, "Pre-Mature Shmeemature. I've been monitoring this bod non-stop." Springer walks back into the medbay casually. Pak-Gor says, "Besides. I build Hot-Dog. The matrix promoted him to Oscar Meyer." Longsight grimaces at the rather large hole in her side... he pulls out his brand new Fisher price repair kit and selects a few tools from it.. Rodimus Prime scowls. "I'd BE relaxed if sommun'd tell me wha's goin' on." Arcee adds to that, "We're just working through a few problems, Rodimus." Flashback's optics would probably be horrified, could she see the kit. As it is, she merely remains still and silent. Kinda' nice this way, actually. Rodimus Prime starts in confusion, "Problems..?" Then grins teasingly, "Wha's wrong, Magn's started t'like bein' in command?" A small smirk crosses Ultra Magnus's face. "Whiz must have quite a few vivid memories of Rodimus's impatience," he says. Glancing to Pak-Gor, Ultra Magnus says, "This is all just a reply of what happened a year ago, Pak-Gor. We all say how obviously distraught Whiz was at Rodimus's death, and I think making this construction is her way of coping with the loss ...however unhealthy it may be." Longsight fishes around the decepticon supplies he stole and gets some replacement wiring and energon tubing... Pak-Gor says, "SEE? Op never had a sense of humor." Ultra Magnus glares intently at Pak-Gor. Arcee does the same to Pak, giving him the same looks she was giving him the night before. Springer looks a little annoyed. He heads towards Rodimus's table, stopping near Arcee. "How about showing a little optimism, Magnus?" Rodimus Prime tilts his head back, scanning the range of faces within his vision curiously. "What construction..? She didn't dig another cave, did she?" Pak-Gor says, "The Zombie Op. He was NOT the good humor man." Arcee says, "I'm not convinced that you are the actual Rodimus Prime...." Arcee states in a detached tone, "Not completely anyway."" Pak-Gor says, "He COULDN't be 'cause he didn't have that special something." Ultra Magnus turns to Springer and says. "You should know better as well, Springer. You know what happened last time we were suddenly greeted with heralds of a fallen leader's return from the grave." Arcee glances at Springer, and murmers something to him. Arcee mutters to Springer, "It may look... I'm rather... to... circumstances..." Longsight keeps one audio sensor peeled on the discussion, and all optics glued to the repair job on Flashback... he works fast and accurately, replacing severed wiring and the like... with what looks to be a lightsaber... Pak-Gor mutters, trying to achieve a tone that UM couldn't hear. "Laser Envy" Springer crosses his arms. "The doc here thinks he's real, I'm all for it." Rodimus Prime blinks. "Bwuh--?" His face falling, he says in an upset tone, "But... 'f course I... 'm me." He frowns. "Whassa matter?" Pak-Gor says, "Whiz and I have taken SOOOO many steps to make sure this is NOT Night of the living dead 2." Arcee says, "They also thought Optimus was real when he was brought back..." Small sparks, and the occasional tendril of smoke rise from the femme's form as she's worked on, the faint perfume of ozone detectable on the air as the instruments sizzle. Ultra Magnus makes a weird look to Pak-Gor. He put a hand in the air, dismissing Springer's comment. "I disagree strongly," he says, "and I am not very happy that the earliest opportunity after retrieving the Matrix was used to place it within a deceased shell." Rodimus Prime says, "Huh? Waitaminnit, I'm not dead." Pak-Gor says, "Yeah but it's not Deceased again." Longsight walks slightly over to rodimus, pulling a few wires and things as he goes.. "Hey.. like, maybe there is some way of testing whether or not this is the reall rodimus? Like testing for memories that Whiz wouldn't know?" Springer mutters to Arcee, "... ever... of... proven..." Ultra Magnus lifts his right hand and points a finger down at the body on the table. "We need to remove the Matrix from this," he says in a firm voice. "Leaving it within an empty frame like that is not the most wise or honorific thing to do." Arcee mutters to Springer, "Do... really want... to a false..." A bright flare of sparks springs from Flashback's side as Longsight uses her wiring like a leash. Arcee mutters to Ultra Magnus, "... Magnus,... thought..." Arcee whispers "... Ultra Magnus, one thought..." Longsight oops and quickly puts the wiring back in place expertly... Arcee mutters to Ultra Magnus, "... we remove the... will happen..." Arcee whispers "If we remove the matrix, what will happen to this ...?" Springer raises his arms half way. "Magnus, hang on, what if removing it kills him again?" he says, looking slightly concerned. Ultra Magnus looks over his shoulder. "Longsight," he says in a stern and aggravated tone, "Please leave that for later. We have urgent and very private matters being addressed here, and I have already politely request you leave." Rodimus Prime sputters, "What're you talkin-- whaddayou want the Matrix for? It b'longs wi' me." Pak-Gor says, "NO STINKIN wWAY! Nu UH! no WAY! You toucha the matrix, Ah breaka yo face, no Nu UH not a chance. The matrix is staying in there. He needs to recuperate from SO much, removing the matrix is gonna kill him like it or not. Do YOU wanna be the guy that offed Rod?" Double-Take scowls at Ultra Magnus, "You'll kill him. Dead. DOA. Even messing with the Matrix in his state'll kill him." Rodimus Prime scoffs, "Oh it wouln'n't kill me..." he frowns, hurt, "but i's a part 'f me. Whaddayou want with it?" Arcee shakes her head, sighing, "We need to do what's right, and based on past experiences...." Longsight puts his stuff down and shakes his head, "No... I'm not leaving cause you guys might need more medical advice about stuff... besides, before you judge Rodimus, I'm thinking you aught to be checking if it's really him..." Ultra Magnus sneers as he look down at the red, orange and tellow construction. "This is the exact behavior observed by 'Optimus Prime' when he was revived," he grumbles. "Leaving in him was a mistake that almost cost all of us lives during that haphazard raid into Darkmount." Rodimus Prime whines, "Arcee, you know who I am! Tell em!" Double-Take looks at Rod, "No, just trust us... it'll kill ya." Pak-Gor says, "You want the matrix, you gotta get through ME." Springer says, "Magnus, he hasn't exactly /done/ anything wrong yet." Arcee states quietly, "... I have no way of being able to tell if you are." Longsight nods and stands next to pak gor, "Yea! me too!" Rodimus Prime frowns. "What's wrong with you all...?" Ultra Magnus says calmly, "Pak-Gor, this is really not neccessary. Please, you have been a good friend of the Autobots and have aided us many time in the past." He stops and looks harply toward Springer, "I'm not going to wait until that event has already come to pass." Rodimus Prime says, "Course 'm not gonna do anything wrong. Why 'd I do that?" Pak-Gor says, "The matrix reconstructed Hod Dog to Rodimeyer Weener. It chose to revive him. Not me not Whiz. We just decided to check. The matrix doesn't give life to just anything. Stick it in a toaster and it's still dead. Before the matrix, Rod was dead." Double-Take sighs, and takes a deep breath, "Seeing as nobody else told you, I gotta do it. I dunno if I'm doing this in the most elequent way, but you were dead. Dead as a post." Springer narrows his optics slightly. "Okay, so what's next? We're going to start brigging people before they do anything wrong because we think they /might/?" Arcee nods in agreement, "This was a rash decision taken up by a medic who wasn't even on duty and has previously displayed that she is not fit for duty, to the point that she was removed. The matrix should not have been placed within Rodimus' frame without prior authorization ... and not by Whiz." Pak-Gor says, "Yeah well I'm rational." Rodimus Prime says, "But..." Double-Take says, "Galvatron stole the Matrix and we got it back." Double-Take says, "And Whiz used it to revive you, with Krystal's help." Arcee says, "And did anyone bother to check if Galvatron had done anything to the matrix?" Pak-Gor says, "Look. What part of Rod can you find that isn't the rod we all know and love?" Double-Take says, "There's no way TO Tell." Rodimus Prime scowls, "Galvatron coul'n't touch it." Arcee mutters something to herself. Double-Take says, "If we did that, Rod's neural net would've decayed as the Matrix sat on a dusty shelf for 40 million years while we wait for it to jump up and down trying to kill us all." Pak-Gor says, "Are you REALLY ready to accept the responsibility? Are you REALLY ready to pull the plug before you know if he's alive?" Rodimus Prime says, "But I am alive..." Arcee mutters to herself, "There... one... to..." Ultra Magnus nods his head emphatically. "Arcee basically summed it up quite well...Whiz has already been removed from duty due to her obvious lack of appropriateness with the death of Rodimus." The Autobot commander's blue optics seem to flare brightly. "I am *not* about to let this mockery," He says with a finger pointed toward the figure on the table, "continue so that we're left to face yet another debale due to an overzealous ignorance of accepting what has already happened." Pak-Gor says, "He's got EMOTIONS. The Zombie Optimus didn't. THAT'S the difference." Double-Take says, "See? He got ANGRY when I mentioned Galvatron!" Pak-Gor says, "Ya can't PROGRAM real emotions! I don't care HOW good a programmer you are." Arcee shakes her head, "That could be attributed to the point that Rodimus's body wasn't deceased nearly as long as Optimus'." Ultra Magnus squints his optics toward Pak-Gor. "How did you get here?" he asks accusingly. Longsight nods, "he's got a point." Springer says in a firm tone, "So come down on Whiz for it. It's not Rodimus's fault extreme measures were used to bring him back. Confine the guy here for awhile, just run some tests, do /something/. But don't jump to any conclusions just because of a screw up the last time." Rodimus Prime sounds hurt, "I am not a mockery... come on, guys, you know me..." Pak-Gor says, "Whiz picked me up. When I saw the body, I lost hope too, but I believed in the matrix." Arcee winces visibly, "... I suggested that we observe him to find out if it's true or not." Pak-Gor says, "I was restoring him as much as repairing him. Humoring Whiz a little, keeping faith a little." Rodimus Prime says desperately, "Arcee...? You know me..." Ultra Magnus scowls and says, "So the Matrix deems Rodimus acceptable to revive but not Optimus? Hardly ...I don't buy that." Double-Take folded his arms, "There were subattomic electronic distortions in Rod's neural net. THe things we think give us life from Vector Sigma. They could STILL recieve a transformer spirit. And they DID. Double-Take says, "Optimus's neural net's distortions decayed after several weeks of death. Rod was only dead for about a week." Pak-Gor says, "And I made SURE that Whiz didn't pull an Optimus." Rodimus Prime mutters to himself, "Op'imus... the Chosen..." Longsight hmmms and thinks, "WEll, like... didn't the matrix choose rodimus in the first place when Prime died? I've read all the reports n' stuff...If the matrix chose him to be the leader dude in the first place, why wouln't it revive him?" Ultra Magnus calmly says, "Longsight, that's enough." Pak-Gor says, "All we did was replace and keep the systems restored. WE didn't revive 'em. WE can't. The MATRIX revived him, and I dunno about you, but I've seen enough wierd stuff from the matrix to think it knows what its doing.," Ultra Magnus frowns, "If you haven't sufficiently read the reports, all you are doing is further complicating this situation by providing an obstruction." Arcee hears Ultra Magnu's point and nods almost begrudgingly, "... Did you watch Whiz every moment...? She could have done something new that caused this to occur ... and I'm not answering that question." She looks toward Rodimus, looking to be losing her grip a bit more at what he asks. Longsight throws his arms up, "But I did read the reports... All of em'! Back when optimus died and how the matrix thingy chose Hot Rod!" Double-Take says, "Computer, bring up post-mortem schematics of Rodimus Prime, dated: 4 days ag, current schematics, dated 10 days ago, post-revival schematics dated .5 hours ago, Optimus schematics during life most recent, Optimus schematics post-mortem, and Optimus schematics during pseudo-revival. Authorizations DT-345-A, DT-3762-1, and DT-Alpha-82771." Pak-Gor says, "HEY! You can't get past me. I can spot a jury rig when I see it. I've been monitoring Prime's bod day and night." A display starts showing all the schematics. Springer says in an annoyed tone, "I can't believe this! Come on guys, give him a break, if you're going to agrue this, do it somewhere else?" He looks directly at Magnus and says in a hard tone, "I don't know who you are anymore." He turns and storms off. Rodimus Prime pleads, "Come on guys, you know me..." Arcee shakes her head at Double Take, "How can you study two personalities that are so distinct ?" Double-Take says, "Not personalities. Distortion readings." Longsight gives rodimus a wink of an optic... Double-Take says, "Y'see, Op had distortions here... *points to life* but not here *points to death* and only partially here *points to pseudo-revival* But Rod had them all the way through." Eyespy swoops in from above. Ultra Magnus meets Springer's gaze hesitatingly, clearly hurt by the comment. "I considered Rodimus Prime as dear as friend as I have ever had," he spurts, "and just because I don't want to let some zombie-like imposter usurp his position in our memory I'm acting irrationally?" Arcee shakes her head, "That can still be attributed to the length of time." Pak-Gor says, "Whiz Entrusted me with every step from the rebuild to the paint job. She even let me in on her little tricks to make sure nobody could stop her, and it WASN'T because she's nuts. It's because SHE WANTS TO KEEP FIGHTING FOR PRIME." Ultra Magnus calmly says, "Prime is dead, and so is Rodimus." Double-Take sighs, "Of COURSE time has something to do with it, that's PART of the reason he was revivable." Arcee turns back to Pak, giving him a cold glare, "She wanted it so much, that perhaps she 'made' it happen." Pak-Gor meant ROdimus. Rodimus Prime yells, "Slaggit, I am no-" he breaks off coughing mightily. Arcee says, "Perhaps this was what Rodimus...." Springer pauses near the door, glancing over his shoulder. "Look, doubts make sense, but don't crusify him just yet." He then continues on his way out. Pak-Gor says, "She couldn'ta. She can't get anything past me." Springer leaves to the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. Pak-Gor says, "Helloooooo! Rodimus is right there." Arcee immediately steps closer to Rodimus, "Are you allright??" She asks in concern. Double-Take gestures towards Rod, "SEE? He got MAD! It's HIM in there! NOT a programming-puppet but an honest-to-goodness holy living SPIRIT! Longsight hmmmmmmms deeply.. Arcee shakes her head, "Before Rodimus was killed, he told me he was going to die... maybe there was a reason for it." Double-Take sighs, "WHAT ELSE will prove it to you?" Rodimus Prime mumbles, "'m not dead..." Ultra Magnus watches from a few meters away as Arcee rushes to the figure's side. He holds out his right hand in an attempt to stop her, but let her go by. After letting it drop to his side, Ultra Magnus nods toward Arcee's comment and says to the others, "He spoke of the same premonition to me. Rodimus knew he was going to die ...he stated it quite clearly." Longsight lifts a hand quietly for attention... Arcee fidgets, unsure exactly what she wants to do, then she straightens and nods in agreement with Ultra Magnus, "It may ... act and speak like Rodimus, but Rodimus... is dead." She states almost sounding as though she herself is conceding defeat. Longsight ummms, "Can I say something?" Pak-Gor says, "The MATRIX knew Rodimus was going to die... He did. Maybe the Matrix knew how to give him another shot." Rodimus Prime half-whimpers, "Don't do this to me, Aree..." Pak-Gor says, "ANYWAY, We got a Psycho Friend here that can give us the pepsi challenge." Double-Take sighs, "He THINKS, he FEELS, what more do you WANT?" Arcee shakes her head, "Maybe it was warning us that this might happen ahead of time, so we would know that Rodimus would.. surely be gone..." Longsight decides to say something anyway, a little flustered that he was ignored... Arcee lowers her head slightly, looking down at the floor for a moment, then back to Ultra Magnus, "We need to remove the Matrix." Rodimus Prime tries to reach for Arcee's hand but can't quite manage the motion. "Don't do this..." Double-Take says, "You'll KILL HIM." Double-Take says, "You'll... MURDER him." Pak-Gor says, "The human dudette with the psycopathic powers." Pak-Gor says, "She can take the Pepsi challenge." Longsight ahems... "Do you guys remember when I tried to take over the world... and when everything came back to me, I discovered my actions were not my own, but some evil aliens! Well, I killed the alien but I got really hurt bad... I shoulda been dead, but I wasn't... I had the faintest spark of life in me... but I kept going cause I knew my friends would help me.... Maybe rodimus was the same way... maybe he was never really dead, but only mostly dead... and the faith his friends had in him kept him alive!" Ultra Magnus looks to Double-Take. "All we have is an intricate impression of such attributes, Double-Take." Ultra Magnus glances toward Arcee and nods his head. "I agree...and I don't think removing the Matrix will kill him...if it's really Rodimus, he doesn't require the Matrix to survive, then we'll all be happy, but since that isn't the case, it need to be removed." He slowly looks around. "Who's going to do it?" he asks. Sky Lynx moans quietly on his med table, his ops flicking on dimly Double-Take says, "Not in his state. His neural net is still piecing itself together." Pak-Gor says, "You'd be an intricate impression too if you'd spent two weeks in Rigor Mortis." Longsight sighs... "Why doesn't anyone listen to me.." Arcee states stubbornly, "You don't seem to understand, Rodimus informed us that he was to die, he died and supposedly bringing him back by simply returning the matrix ... well, /why/ would he tell us he'd die in the first place if he was going to return." Pak-Gor mutters to Longsight, "... not..." Rodimus Prime says, "Because I can't see the future?" Double-Take nods towards Longsight slightly... he then turns to Arcee, "How on charr should I know? He was captive! He knew the verdict would be execution and the sentance death!" Arcee glances toward Rodimus, "Then why would it see the future enough to warn about a death?" Ultra Magnus calmly says, "I don't understand how simply returning the Matrix to him would be sufficient. It certainly wasn't enough for Optimus Prime...Perceptor did absolutely everything he could on that fateful day five years ago, and I didn't see the Matrix making any special exceptions to lend a hand of assistance."" Longsight nods, "Right...." he looks at arcee, "Hey man! There's been times when I thought *I* was going to die! Just cause rodimus was more vocal about it makes it true?!" Arcee says, "This was ... almost a full week before he was captured." Pak-Gor mutters to himself. Slag still sits on his table, he looks up. He blinks and grunts as he looks over the situation around him. Double-Take sighs, "I don't know. Maybe a premonition's just a premonition? Why would the Matrix bother WARNING Him if it didn't tell him how to get OUT of the mess? Rodimus Prime says, "It didn't say death, just something... really bad. If you guys won't listen to me... that's bad." Arcee nods in agreement, "I was there as well,... " Pak-Gor mutters to himself, "... Magnus... JEALOUS... Matrix doesn't turn HIM... a... into... awesome flaming car van thingy..." Longsight sighs... Ultra Magnus looks toward Pak-Gor. "If you have something to say, Pak-Gor, go ahead and say it," he quips. "I have had to come to terms with what happened, even if you just find it a spot for humor and insults." Arcee says, "... that's not the point, right now, we need to remove the Matrix." She attempts to get the conversation back on track, obviously wanting out of her as soon as possible, "Now."" Longsight looks at ultra magnus, "Well, maybe the matrix knew that times were changing, and it knew that Optimus's time was passed, and that it needed a new leader in order to face the changes that were coming in the future.." Pak-Gor says, "Look. It's easy. The matrix saw Rod's death coming. It didn't see Prime's dea coming. Maybe the Matrix was able to sorta set its VCR to record." Rodimus Prime states emphatically, "It b'longs with ME." Ultra Magnus sneers toward Longsight, more insulted by that statement than just about any other that has been made in the past hour. Ultra Magnus says, "I need a medical specialist to report immediately to the Autobot City repair bay." Double-Take backs towards the now-living corpse unsure of himself, taking up an almost defensive stance. Pak-Gor stands faithfully by Rodimus' side. Longsight hmmmphhs and sulks a bit.. he then sticks his tongue out at UM... Longsight moves over by pak-gore too... Pak-Gor just glares. "I AM a medical specialist, durnit. Heck YOU'VE been on the edge of death before. You were one toasted pile of legos before my people slapped ya back together. You doubting my medical abilities? Ultra Magnus calmly says, "I wasn't *dead*." Rodimus Prime says, "Neither am I..." Longsight points to rodimus, "WEll maybe he wasn't either! Besides, how do you know you weren't *dead*.." Longsight wags a finger at Ultra Magnus, "Tell me one good reason why you think you weren't dead!" Pak-Gor says, "I would NOT let Rod walk around unless it was the genuine article, accept no substitutions." Ultra Magnus seems to completely ignore Longsight as he looks to Pak-Gor. "I am not convinced that this is truly our former leader. As such, it is only withint our best interest to remove the Matrix from this construction until a more valid conclusion is reached. Arcee looks at Rodimus, "Until everything is set and we are sure one way or another, and since most of the evidence directs us to think otherwise, ... we do not think you should be holding the matrix at this time." Double-Take says, "And if you do that, you risk KILLING Rod. And ANY hope of getting him back." Pak-Gor says, "Yeah. But the matrix isn't totally done yet." Longsight throws his hands up in the air, frustraited, "Frank has told me all sorts of stories about humans that have died and then come back to life thanks to Doctors and Nurses.... Are we any different just cause we're machines?" Rodimus Prime says, "But it's part of me..." Double-Take says, "It's like giving a terran who's just had a gunshot wound to the head a lobotomy." Pak-Gor says, "You take the matrix out, he enters the jenny craig overachievers course and I dunno WHAT that's gonna do to his systems." Slag seems confused so he just sits there, bored. Pak-Gor says, "But don't take MY word for it. We got the human lady with the Psychopathic powers. SHE was holding Rod's hand all the way through. She can take the pepsi challenge." Arcee says, "Rodimus... please..." Ultra Magnus steps back to the table and leans over, peering at the figure. He points a finger toward it, poking it on the shoulder, "So, tell me what makes you think I should accept you as Rodimus Prime." Ultra Magnus glances toward Pak-Gor. "Fine then," he snaps. Arcee looks from Rodimus to Ultra Magnus awaiting an answer to that question. Double-Take remains between Rodimus and Ultra Magnus, keeping his balance steadily... over ROd's chest, to take any attempt that would be made to remove the Matrix on himself. Pak-Gor says, "I rebuilt Hot Dog. The MATRIX rebuilt Dogimus. You doubting the Matrix's abilities to now?" You transmit a message to Krystal Bryant: Greetings, Krystal...please excuse my aggravated tone, but I would be thankful if you could lend us the use of your ...abilities. Krystal Bryant receives a radio transmission. Pak-Gor grins. "'sides. What're YOU gonna do with it? Eyespy blinks trying to follow the conversation. Rodimus Prime flinches away slightly. "Because it did," he mutters. "And I'm not dead. I thought that was kind of obvious." Arcee scowls at Double-Take, "Will you move, you could do more damage." Slag grins as he rolls his optics over to Pak-Gor, "Ultra Magnet eat sparkly." Double-Take says, "It's gonna cause a whole LOTTA damage if you rip out the Matrix." Arcee frowns, "I do not intend to 'rip out' the matrix." Ultra Magnus calmly says, "What, Double-Take...you think I'm just going to dive my hands into this construction's chest? I should hope you know better." Double-Take sighs... he looks up to his commander and Arcee... he warily backs down slightly, getting away from his in-between status sandwhiched between Roddy and Magnus. Krystal Bryant enters from the main lobby, the doors sliding shut with a quiet hiss. She glowers in the shadows of the dimly lit repair bay. "What is it you think I can do here, Ultra Magnus? I'll be no party to this heinous idea of a clone." she grates. Rodimus Prime looks up pleadingly at Magnus. "Don't do this... you're my friend, don't do this..." Omicra enters from the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. Double-Take remains near by, joining the Junkions. Omicra steps in. Ultra Magnus frowns at Krystal's comment. "...not you too..." he murmers under his breath. "I disagree, Krystal, and I am emphatic in my belief that this is not Rodimus Prime." Omicra looks at Magnus like he happens to have six heads. "Huh?" Omicra looks over at Rodimus. Eyespy says, "Perhaps Ultra magnus you would shar your reasoning on that?" Rodimus Prime says, "You're not listening to a word I'm saying, are you?" Double-Take looks over, "I'm listening, Rod." Pak-Gor smirks at Rod. "Not listening to a word anyone's saying. They REALLY were well-behaved while you were out. Ultra Magnus looks up for a moment and speaks to noone in particular. "Non-medical personnel were already asked to leave." He then peers intensely back down to Rodimus. Krystal Bryant's jaw tightens, but she nods resignedly. "Very well, Magnus. I cannot disagree with your intentions, or your concerns. They are warranted." she replies, stepping forward. Omicra continues in, skimming a pad of medical reports as she does. Arcee takes a step back from Rodimus, watching the exchange. Eyespy blinks at UM's abrupt statment, but follows orders. Eyespy leaves to the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. Slag is still waiting for repairs from lastnight. He waves to Eyespy, "Slag no leave, Slag no fixed yet." Omicra looks over at Slag. "May I look you over, Slag?" Omicra gets to Magnus's report as she finishes the reports, her optics widening. Pak-Gor says, "All we did was medical work. Medical work can't revive the dead, and it can't create zombies. I replaced each and every one of Rod's systems myself. Whiz just called me in for my expertise. And I gave her her dollar's worth. I replaced every system, monitored everything, and did my best to restore him as he was before he was scorched. After that he was still lifeless. The matrix did the rest. Not me. Not Whiz. Since he's been revived I've been monitoring EVERYTHING for ANY sign of abnormalities. None so far. Behavior's rod, bod's rod's, matrix is Rod's too." Rodimus Prime's voice quivers, "Arcee...? Please..." Slag's body looks like it has been through hell. He still slowly leaks energon from his shredded back, and arms. His knees look like the servos colapsed, "You look at Slag, cause me still leak." Krystal Bryant (Krys) pages Ultra Magnus and Rodimus Prime: Yepper!I'll take you in. :) Pak-Gor says, "You don't have faith in the matrix, and apparantly you don't have faith in me." Omicra pulls out a medical scanner and runs a check on Slag. Krystal Bryant grips the legs of a stool near the table, carefully climbing up its length and dumping herself heavily on the table next to Rod's agitated form. "Easy, now." she says quietly. "It's just me. Right here, at your shoulder. Tell me, Rod....who did you argue with, last night?" Omicra casts furtive glances back at Rodimus and Magnus as she looks slag over. ((Idle--be back in a few)) Pak-Gor says, "UM, what would it take to convince you that he IS alive? Why the blindness? Do I hafta schedule you with an appointment with Mr. Snuffy the therapy puppet?" Rodimus Prime says fuzzily, "Argue with?" Still leaning over the body which seems to be a clear duplicate of Rodimus Prime, Ultra Magnus says to Pak-Gor, "This isn't about faith in the Matrix, Pak-Gor, it's about faith in preserving the memory of fallen friends with honor." Pak-Gor says, "Look. I didn't do anything. The matrix made him alive. What's so dishonorableabout that?" Krystal Bryant says, "Yes. LAst night. Do you remember? A...fight. One that you had." Arcee says, "... then what harm will it be to take the matrix, even he says he can live without it, and if he's not just a clone, it can be returned, right, Ultra Magnus?"" Double-Take says, "Because he's still recovering and it's work isn't done yet." Rodimus Prime focuses on Krystal. "You mean.. in my head?" Ultra Magnus shifts his weight from one foot to another. He turns his head and looks inquisitively toward Krystal, as if wondering what in Primus's name she's doing. Looking up to Arcee, he nods his head and murmers, "That is correct." Pak-Gor says, "You can doubt my abilities. You can doubt Whiz's abilities. But we didn't do it. His body was repaired as Hot Rod. The matrix made him Rodimus. I don't want to risk a strain to his systems in his condition." Double-Take says, "Let's say that you blast someone's neural net, then take it apartto repair it, then STOP working on it, let it leak and spark for a few hours and start tinkering with it in weird ways." Krystal Bryant nods. "Yes." she says with gentle authority. Pak-Gor says, "And Arcee..." He shakes his head. "I'd think YOU of all people would believe Rod when he's telling you not to bury him."" Rodimus Prime says, "Uhm.. you, I guess. Why?" Arcee looks at Rodimus, "... I can't tell from just standing here, Pak." Krystal Bryant nods. "Well, that's my question." she grins. "Why did you fight it?" Pak-Gor says, "Yeah. You won't be able to tell if he's pushing up daisys after the matrix is removed either." Arcee shakes her head, Arcee says, "I can't tell, that's something that will take /time/" Pak-Gor says, "Right. Right now the matrix is keeping him alive. That's not permanent. At least wait for him to recover before ya risk pulling the plug." Rodimus Prime says in quiet desperation, "You know me, Arcee... you KNOW me." Arcee leans down slightly by Rodimus, She mutters to Rodimus Prime, "... Rodimus,... sure... know you." Pak-Gor lets Arcee step up to rod (But keeps his taser on stun). "Look into those optics. Look at HIM. Krystal Bryant whistles and snaps her fingers. "Rod, over here. I need your focus...over here. Why did you fight me?" Pak-Gor says, "Won't believe the medics, won't believe the psychopath, won't believe the alleged dead guy. What's he NEED? Optimus' ghost to walk up to him and say, "Yeah that's him."" Ultra Magnus straightens his posture and crosses his arms tightly across his chest, silently watching the exchanges. Double-Take sighs, "Won't work, could be a holo, Pakky." Rodimus Prime frets, his attention torn. "Because I didn't recognize you," he says in terse response to Krystal, trying again to reach for Arcee's hand. Pak-Gor grins. "Yeah he probably thinks it was the autobots that killed Unicron too." Arcee obviously can't stand this much longer and drops her hand onto Rodimus. Pak-Gor quotes, "If you believe in magic, and I hope ya do, you'll always have a friend wearing Big Rod's shoess." Krystal Bryant frowns, suddenly a bit confuses. "That's it?" her mouth presses tightly. "Rodimus." she snaps quietly. "If you don't listen to me, then you won't be holding that hand for much longer." Double-Take shudders, "Ronald McDonald died of coronary heart disease at 57. Let him rest." Rodimus Prime tightens his grip as much as he's capable (not much) and looks over fretfully at Krystal again. "What?" Krystal Bryant says, "You said you didn't recognize me. But when you did..you still fought me. Why? What was I doing?"" Arcee looks to Krystal, unsure what she means herself and just seeming highly disturbed and torn by the expression on her face. Slag's body looks like it has been through hell. He still slowly leaks energon from his shredded back, and arms. His knees look like the servos colapsed, seemingly he is tired due to the energon loss. Rodimus Prime frowns, the stress of having to dig up the memories again showing on his face. "I.. don't know. You were trying to get through my walls." Slag's body looks like it has been through hell. He still slowly leaks energon from his shredded back, and arms. His knees look like the servos colapsed, seemingly he is tired due to the energon loss. Ultra Magnus frowns and quickly turns away from the table. He looks around the room as he steps backward. "It's obvious that none of you share my concerns...maybe I just need some time to try to restate what I've been saying," he says. Pak-Gor says, "Yeah, go postulate, ya big permanent wedgie victim." Omicra sighs as she moves over to Slag, pulling out a tool. Arcee says, "I agree completely with your concerns... Ultra Magnus, .." Pak-Gor obviously seems to be in a combined state of insulted, angry, and protective. Omicra looks over at Magnus, "Sir?" Krystal Bryant sighs heavily, resting her hand on Rod's shoulder. "All right...I'm sorry. Thaat's enough. Ultra Magnus....my....abilities of telepathic awareness simply don't work on non-sentient beings. Granted, I've tried it with hours of practice, but it just doesn't produce much above numbness for me. Like a block. I pulled Rodimus last night...mentally. I can't do that on a clone...a clone, no matter how perfectly programmed for actions, intents, and emotions...is just that. A clone. And non-sentient. I couldn't have helped him that way." Rodimus Prime tightens his jaw painfully, his grip closing spasmodically over Arcee's hand. "Don't..." Omicra begins removing the armor plating from Slag's back. Slag looks at Ulta Magnus as he growls, "Dat mean Slag get all busted up for nothing? Slag think that real Rod-i-mus." Omicra lays aside the shredded plate. Omicra begins reconnecting energon lines along Slag's back. Ultra Magnus looks uncomfortable. "I-I don't know," he stammers, becomming more and more confused with each passing moment. "I'll go consider all this...I need to try to make you all understand." He slowly turns and begins to walk toward the doors into the lobby. Krystal Bryant says, "I cannot use my forces of telepathy on perfect programs of drones. There has to be....something there." Rodimus Prime says quietly, "I'm here." Arcee looks down at Krystal, completely silent in thought. Omicra frowns after Magnus. "Um...sir?" Krystal Bryant glances down and smiles sadly at Rodimus. "I know that." Ultra Magnus walks through the doors, too agitated to stop and discuss. He strides out of the bay and into the lobby. You move north to the Main Lobby - First Floor...
