Log edited with Logedit 2.6.9pl on Thu Apr 9 18:21:34 EDT 1998 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Repair Bay(#363 RntN) Springer comes out of his rest cycle. "Well, well, well. So he is alive after all," he comments upon seeing Rodimus. "Hullo, Magnus." Springer transmits a message via radio to First Aid. Rodimus Prime wanders in from the lobby. "Of course I'm alive. What're YOU doing here?" First Aid enters from the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. First Aid walks into the area. Ultra Magnus lies on the table, his armor fully patched and repairs. Noticing Rodimus' entrance and Springer's awakening, he slowly sits up. Holding his right hand out to his side, he smiles and replies, "Greetings." First Aid walks in, not looking too surprised at the visitors to the repair bay. Springer shrugs and points to his pretty bad injuries. "Got a bit scratched up trying to pull you out of that place." He grins and shrugs non-chalantly. Springer says, "Nothin' to worry about. Magnus needed the medics attention worse than I did." Rodimus Prime snorts. "I seem to recall fighting my own way outta there," he remarks wryly with a challenging smirk. Springer chuckles in humor. "Oh, really? Don't suppose you showed the cat who took you for a ride a thing or two on your way out?" Rodimus Prime starts puzzledly, "Cat...?" His face twists. "Oh, Ravage. No, he wasn't around to step on, unfortunately." Springer scowls momentarily then brightens again. "Don't suppose you mind if I do a little stepping next time I see him?" he asks lightly. Rodimus Prime says, "Why should I let you have all the fun?" Ultra Magnus glances toward Rodimus. "So tell me," he asks, "How did Ravage manage to swipe you right from the city? Red Alert never did go into details." First Aid vanishes out of reality. Rodimus Prime shrugs. "Sneaked up behind me and grabbed me before anyone could react, I guess. That and he didn't give anyone a chance to counterpose. But it wouldn't be IC for me to say that." Crossover enters from the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. Crossover walks in from the Lobby, waves to everyone. Crossover says, "Hello, I'm Crossover"" Springer gives a jaunty wave to Crossover. "Join the fun. Enough room here for everybody." Crossover puts his hand out to shakes Springe's. Rodimus Prime changes the subject, phasing his rifle in from subspace as he takes a seat on the counter where he's not supposed to be. "So, uh... how're you guys doing? I don't think I was hurt that bad but I vaguely remember the medics swarming me when I got in." Ultra Magnus looks toward Crossover from his seated position on one of the medtables. "Hi there, Crossover," he says. Springer shakes Crossover's hand, wincing a bit as the motion jostles his injuried shoulder. Then he glances over at Rod with a smirk. "You have that kind of charm, Rod. Nobody can wait to get their hands on you." Springer chuckles. "Including Ravage, it would seem." Crossover snickers. Crossover says, "I was there when that happened." Ultra Magnus chuckles as he replies to Rodimus, "Luckily for me the Decepticons did the same thing. I was hit mostly just by crossfire... until the energon bomb exploded." His body seems to teeter slightly, but he holds himself in place using the handle by his side. "I think it confused my gyrosystems." Springer does the TF equivlant of arching an eyebrow. "Oh? Maybe you can fill us in on what happened. Rodimus here seems to be suffering short-term memory loss in regards to humiliating experiences." Crossover pauses trying to remember. "Well...." Black_Jeep climbs up and out of the training chamber below. Hindsight climbs up and out of the training chamber below. Crossover says, "I remember I was there with Rodimus and Red Alert." Crossover says, "Rodimus, was still shrunken." Hindsight walks out of the training chamber and blinks at the croud, "Uh, hi." Crossover says, "We were just standing there, I just introduced myself to Rodimus, then something snuck in and Rodimus was gone!!!" Springer listens to Crossover with interest, ignoring the fact that Rodimus obviously didn't want to talk about the experience. Rodimus Prime grumbles at Springer. "Or teeth, given the case." He flips his rifle over and sights down the length of the barrel at the floor. "Energon bomb? What, Roadhog got overzealous?" Black_Jeep says, "Might be..." Crossover says, "I remember trying to look for Rodimus, but he was no where to be found!!!" Hindsight heads to the exit, wanting to go work on a better weapon for his turrent. Hindsight leaves to the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. Rodimus Prime rolls his optics faintly at the retelling of the tale and leans over to rummage in a drawer beneath him for a rag, wiping it carefully over his gun. Springer throughs a mock look of disgust in Rodimus's direction at the Roadhog comment. Then he returns his attention to Crossover. "Don't worry about it. Rod probably figured he needed a vacation and just went along to stress the rest of us out." he comments good naturedly. Crossover chuckles. Ultra Magnus quietly sings, "Where o' where is Rodimus... where o' where is Rodimus..." He chuckles and murmers, "I need to drop these mannerisms from Daniel." Rodimus Prime puts in, "Oh, obviously. Fighting Galvatron in a fishtank is MY idea of relaxation." Black_Jeep sits down at the recharging station. Nitro leans back in the recharging station as the energy slowly flows into him, revitalizing his systems. Black_Jeep gets up from the recharging station. Springer looks surprised at that comment, then breaks out laughing despite his injuries. "...Galvatron...in a fish...fishtank???? This I GOTTA hear!" Crossover says, "It was a pretty scary moment at first." Crossover says, "Fishtank?!?!?!??" Black_Jeep says, "FISHTANK?!" Ultra Magnus adds his name to the chorus, "Fishtank?" Crossover looks at Rodimus waiting for his story. Rodimus Prime pauses with his hand in mid-swipe, resting the barrel over his knee. He smirks triumphantly as he successfully claims the room's attention and explains airily, "Oh, yeah, Cyclonus dumped me in some kind of holding tank and Galvatron decided he needed to pit-fight me right then and there. So I beat his aft and jumped out when he blasted a hole in the side with that cannon of his." Crossover listens intently to Rodimus. Crossover says, "Nice one Rodimus." Rodimus Prime shrugs. "Eh, it was nothin'. Galvatron never could aim." Springer would be howling in laughter at this point if it didn't hurt so darned much. He obviously finds the story entertaining. "Leave it to Rodimus to do something none of the rest of us have ever managed. Fighting in a fishtank. Gotta love it!" Rodimus Prime hrmphs, "Not like I did it by *choice*." Crossover says, "True." Crossover says, "Rodimus, I wanted to ask you what you thought of getting some of our forces back on Cybertron?" Springer says, "Oh, come on, Rod. Choice or not, you know you enjoyed showing off to Galvatron." Rodimus Prime grins and holds up his hand with his thumb and index finger a (scale) inch apart. "Maybe a little." Springer snorts with suppressed laughter, but doesn't push the point. Rodimus Prime turns his head to look down at Crossover. "What's that..? Uh, anyone who wants to head up there is welcome to, long as I know where everyone is." Crossover says, "Yeah, the only thing I'm worried about is spreading our forces too thin." Crossover says, "But I'll spread the word and see if anyone wants to go to Cybertron." Rodimus Prime says, "Worrying about that is my job. I'll deal with it if it becomes a problem." Crossover nods. "Ok, Rodimus." Crossover says, "I'll head to Cybertron right now." Ultra Magnus leans over the side of his medtable. He mutters to Springer, "What..." Springer senses "Ultra Magnus leans over the side of his medtable. "What... Rodimus, worry?"" Crossover waves to everyone as he leaves. Crossover says, "If anyone wants to head up there just let me know." Crossover leaves to the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. Springer snickers at something Ultra Magnus says. He looks up at the XO, obviously surprised that Magnus even has a sense of humor. He mutters to Ultra Magnus, "... time... I..." You sense Springer snickers at something Ultra Magnus says. He looks up at the XO, obviously surprised that Magnus even has a sense of humor. "THere's a first time for everything, I suppose." Rodimus Prime gives his gun another wipe and eyes Ultra Magnus and Springer warily. "What're you two giggling about?" Ultra Magnus is about to respond to Springer, but glances back toward Rodimus as he leans back to his previous position. "Oh, nothing at all..." he says. "Just making an editorial comment." Springer says, "Who? Us??? Nothing, Rod. Nothing at all." Springer snorts at Magnus. "Editorial comment, indeed." he stage whispers. Springer turns back to Rodimus, a bit more serious now. "Are you sure you're okay?" Springer says, "Not that anything can dent that duraplated head of yours, but I want to make sure." Rodimus Prime braces the weapon against his knee and sets the cloth down, fiddling with a clasp to snap off the powerpack. "Do tell... I'm better than you are, that's for sure. So let's hear the editorial." Ultra Magnus motions his arm over toward the door. "Crossover sparked an idea," he says to Rodimus. "The Decepticons have obviously been keeping a close watch on their territories on Earth. If... I mean, when... the medics are able to patch up my gyrosystems, I wouldn't mind the opportunity to gather a small offensive operation or two up on Cybertron." Ultra Magnus's optics flicker. "I haven't heard too much from the EDC lately, either..." he mulls to himself. Springer shoots a look at Magnus on the EDC comments, the frowns briefly himself. "You know, I haven't either. Not even from Marissa. Think something's wrong?" Rodimus Prime blinks. "Cybertron? You? I thought you wanted to stick around Earth." Ultra Magnus says calmly, "We haven't has anything happen on Cybertron for quite some time. A military movement now has a good chance of taking the Decepticons by surprise. I want our forces in New Iacon to remember that there's still a war going on." Springer glances at his own injuries briefly then looks at Magnus again. "You say that as if they could possibly forget," he says dryly Ultra Magnus glances toward Springer. "General newsfeed from media broadcasts indicates that there aren't any significant items of note. I plan to check on it shortly, but for now no news can seemingly be taken for good news." His optics dim slightly. "If the Decepticons were to assault New Iacon tomorrow morning, are you completely confident the city would be well-defended?" Rodimus Prime says, "Well.. yeah, no argument there, but.. you? I could do that." Black_Jeep listens... Springer stays out of this discussion. He's not a strategist and he knows it. Ultra Magnus nods his head toward Rodimus. "Yes, but the feel of actually doing something the other day after spending so long in an office felt..." Ultra Magnus pauses for a moment then decides against verbally finishing that thought. Rodimus Prime smirks. "Addictive? *I'm* the impulsive one, remember? Read the script." Springer puts a hand over his mouth, chuckling softly at the understatement. Rodimus Prime sets his rifle's powerpack down on the counter beside him and flips the gun over, working on the revealed insides with the cloth again. Springer finally puts his two cents in. "Oh, give Captain American a break, Rod. After all, can you blame him for wanting to be as insane as you are?" Ultra Magnus hrmphs and leisurely crosses his arms across his waist. "Addictive isn't really the appropriate label I would give it," he says. "It just felt good to be doing something rather than walking around the streets of San Francisco." Springer says, "He's bored! I don't believe it! The King of Monontinous is BORED!" Springer says that like's its some grand revelation then grins at Magnus with the XO gives him the "Look". Rodimus Prime says, "Captain wh... I am not-- shut up, Springer." Rodimus Prime gathers his thoughts. "Well, attacking Trypticon isn't really an option. The other night showed that well enough. You think we could take Darkmount?" Springer grins, shrugs, then lies back on his bed after tossing off a jaunty salute to the "Boss". You wouldn't normally expect blue optics to appear like they're burning, but Ultra Magnus' sure are as he castsa glare toward Springer. Rodimus Prime cuts in bemusedly at the silent sparring, "Now now, children.." Springer isn't sparing. He's just being his usual irreverent self. Max enters from the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. Rodimus Prime is being his usual intuitive self and enjoying leaning on his rank. So ha. Springer is SOOO unimpressed with Roddy leaning on his rank. =) Ultra Magnus cocks his head toward Rodimus. "Who are you calling a child? Yeah, so maybe the Matrix jumped you ahead a few years in neurocyber development, but I was STILL leading assaults against the Decepticons before you even knew how to initiate your transformation sequence." Max walks in with a small device in his hand. He walks to a cabnet, pulls out some tool and sits at a table working. Springer almost chokes as Magnus deals his comeback. Rodimus Prime blinks sharply, drawing his head back. "Geez, could you take it a little more personally, please?" Springer says, "Oh, Rod. Give him a break. He's not as good at this humor thing as we are. He needs to be taught by a master." The edges of Ultra Magnus' mouth curl slightly to reveal an amused smile. He attempts a furtive wink of his right optic toward Springer as he lifts his thumb and motions twice in Rod's direction. Springer brushes his fingertips along an arm and grins at Magnus yet again. Springer added to the list of nominees. Rodimus Prime grrs. "Yeah, well maybe you were leading assaults before I was built but I'm not the one sitting in the medbay verbally sniping--" he stops. "You started it," he concludes lamely. Springer starts to laugh hard again, then actually winces and grabs his side momentarily. It takes him a second to recover, then he grins as if everything's fine. Ultra Magnus guffaws loudly, nearly losing his balance again. "Ah, come on, Rod. Where's your bedside manor for the injured Autobots who bailed you out of Trypticon?" Rodimus Prime added to the list of nominees. Rodimus Prime brandishes the cloth, "Hey, *I* seem to recall fighting my *own* way out of Trypticon, thank you very much." Springer snorts. "Don't say the "B" word. Nobody bails Rodimus Prime out of anything, remember? The kid has the golden goose. He can do anything." Gunrunner enters from the Main Lobby - First Floor to the north. Gunrunner walks into the area, her pace slow and relaxed. Rodimus Prime says, "Really, Springer, I like to at least think I'm a little beyond 'kid'..." Gunrunner says, "Err... does anyone need repairs?" Ultra Magnus tries to get a serious face. "Better not say that to Kup," he snickers. Springer looks down at his dented, battered, leaking body and shrugs. "When you've got the time, Gunrunner." Max tosses over his shoulder without looking, "Whats the kid whining about now, Magnus?" Gunrunner ohs, and hurries over to Springer, pulling out her medkit. Gunrunner pulls out a medical scanner and runs a check on Springer. Ultra Magnus looks away from Rodimus and Springer. His optics move around the room... to Nitro, Max, then Gunrunner. An embarrassed smile crosses the city commander's face as he says, "Oh... hello there." Springer grimaces in Max's direction. "Hey! Give the Bot some respect! He *is* the Boss, you know." Springer is being awfully defensive for someone who was acting so disrespectful a moment ago. But then, that's the way Springer is. Ultra Magnus replies to Max. "You'll have to live with the consequences of that question... don't blame me." Max stands up, turns around, and packs away his device, "Well, to us old timers, hes a kid. Boss or not." He flashes a quick wink at Springer. Gunrunner blinks at the results, and gets to work on SPringer. Gunrunner begins work on Springer's injuries. Rodimus Prime grunts noncommittally and mutters under his breath, bending over his gun. Springer gets quiet as Gunrunner starts actually working on him, but not until she puts a hand on him to force him to lay still. Springer comments, "Hey, Rod. You did remember to leave *some* Decepticons in one piece for the rest of us before you left Trypicon, right?" Ultra Magnus uncrosses his arms and leans back on the medtable. Rodimus Prime replies without looking up, "Don't worry, Springer, I'm sure I missed a few in there." ---------------------LOG ENDS - STATISTICS----------------
