Pawn of Prophecy
While the Dark God Slept
Long ago, so the Storyteller claimed, the evil god Torak sought dominion and drove men and Gods to war. But Belgarath the Sorcerer led men to reclaim the Orb that protected men of the West. So long as it lay at Riva, the prophecy went, men would be safe.

But that was only a story, and Garion did not believe in magic dooms, even though the dark man without a shadow had haunted him for years. Brought up on a quiet farm by his Aunt Pol, how could he know that the Apostate planned to wake dread Torak, or that he would be led on a quest of unparalleled magic and danger by those he loved--but did not know...?&

For a while, his dreams of innocence were safe, untroubled by knowledge of his strange heritage. For a little while?

Thus begins the first book of The Belgariad, a magnificent epic of immense scope set against a history of seven thousand years of the struggles of Gods and Kings and men-of strange lands and events-of fate and a prophecy that must be fulfilled!

Queen of Sorcery
The Trail of Prophecy
Legends told of how the evil God Torak had coveted the power of the Orb of Aldur, until defeated in the final battle. But prophecy spoke of a time when he would awake and again seek dominance over all the world. Now the Orb had been stolen by a priest of Torak and that time was at hand.

The master Sorcerer Belgarath and his daughter Polgara the arch-Sorceress were on the trail of the Orb, seeking to regain its saving power before the final disaster. And with them went Garion, a simple farm boy only months before, but now the focus of the struggle. He had never believed in sorcery and wanted no part of it. Yet with every league they traveled, the power grew in him, forcing him to acts of wizardry he could not accept.

This continues the magnificent epic of The Belgariad, begun in Pawn of Prophecy, set among strange lands against the background of a war of men, Kings, and Gods that had spanned seven thousand years-a novel of strange fate and a prophecy that must come true!

Magician's Gambit
The Princess and the Sorcerers
Ce'Nedra, Imperial Princess of Tolnedra, was confused.

Everyone knew that the tales of the Orb that protected the West from the evil God Torak were just silly legends. But here she was, force to join a serious and dangerous quest to recover that stolen Orb. No one believed in sorcery. Yet Garion's aunt and grandfather seemed to be the fabled sorcerers Polgara and Belgarath, who would be thousands of years old. Even young Garion was learning to do things that could only be sorcery.

Garion! He was nothing but a farm boy, totally unsuitable for an Imperial princess. Then why did she have such an urge to teach him, to brush back his tangled hair, and to comfort him?

Now he was going to a strange tower in the center of all he believed evil, to face some horrible, powerful magician. And she wouldn't be there to watch over him.

He might be killed! She'd never see him again?

This carries on the magnificent epic of The Belgariad, begun in Pawn of Prophecy and Queen of Sorcery, a fantasy set against the background of a war of men, Kings, and Gods that had spanned seven thousand years-a novel of fate, strange lands, and a prophecy that must be fulfilled!

Castle of Wizardry
End of the Quest
It had all begun with the theft of the Orb that had so long protected the West from the evil God Torak. Before that, Garion had been a simple farm boy. Afterwards, he discovered that his aunt was really the Sorceress Polgara and his grandfather was Belgarath, the Eternal Man. Then, on the long quest to recover the Orb, Garion found to his dismay that he, too, was a sorcerer.

Now, at last, the Orb was regained and the quest was nearing its end. Of course, the questors still had to escape from this crumbling enemy fortress and flee across a desert filled with Murgo soldiers searching for them, while Grolim Hierarchs strove to destroy them with dark magic. Then somehow, they must manage to be in Riva with the Orb by Erastide. After that, however, Garion was sure that his part in these great events would be finished.

But the Prophecy still held future surprises for Garion-and for the little princess Ce'Nedra!

This continues the magnificent epic of The Belgariad, begun in Pawn of Prophecy, Queen of Sorcery, and Magician's Gambit-a fantasy set against a background of a war of men, Kings, and Gods that had spanned seven thousand years-a novel of fate, strange lands, and a prophecy that must be fulfilled!

Enchanter's End Game
The Drive of Prophecy
The quest was over. The Orb of Aldur was restored. And once again, with the crowning of Garion, there was a descendent of Riva Iron-grip to rule as Overlord of the West.

But the Prophecy was unfulfilled. In the east, the evil God Torak was about to awaken and seek dominion. Somehow, Garion had to face the God, to kill or be killed. On the outcome of that dread duel rested the destiny of the world. Now, accompanied by his grandfather, the ancient sorcerer Belgarath, Garion headed toward the City of Endless night, where Torak awaited him.

To the south, his fiancée, the Princess Ce'Nedra, led the armies of the West in a desperate effort to divert the force of Torak's followers from the man she loved.

The Prophecy drove Garion on. But it gave no answer to the question that haunted him: How does a man kill an immortal God?

Here is the brilliant conclusion to the epic of The Belgariad, which began in Pawn of Prophecy-a novel of fate, strange lands, and a prophecy that must be fulfilled-the resolution of the war of men, Kings, and Gods that had spanned seven thousand years!

Guardians of the West
The Dark Prophecy
Garion had slain the evil God Torak and been crowned King of Riva. The Prophecy was fulfilled-or so it seemed. While the strange child Errand was growing up in the Vale of Aldur with Polgara and Durnik, showing only occasional flashes of inexplicable knowledge and power, Garion was learning to rule and to be the husband of his fiery little Queen Ce'Nedra. Eleven years passed.

Then suddenly the Voice of Prophecy cried out a warning: "Beware Zandramas!" Not even Belgarath the Sorcerer knew who or what Zandramas was. But Garion discovered hints in a previously obscured part of the Mrin Codex. Worse, he learned that the Dark Prophecy was still waging its ancient struggle against the Prophecy of Light. Again, great evil was brewing in the East. And again, Garion found himself a pawn, caught between the two ancient Prophecies, with the fate of the world somehow resting on him.

Here, in the eagerly awaited sequel to David Eddings' bestselling The Belgariad, is the first book of The Malloreon, an epic quest across strange lands and among stranger peoples-a magnificent fantasy of men, Kings, Sorcerers, and Gods caught up in the culmination of the seven-thousand-year war between two opposing Destinies to determine the fate of all creation.

King of the Murgos
Beginnning of the Quest
The infant son of Garion and Ce'Nedra had been foully kidnapped. Now they began the great quest to rescue the child, with the immortal Belgarath the Sorcerer, his daughter Polgara the Sorceress, and inevitably the little Drasnian, Silk.

Guided by the Orb of the God Aldur, their way led through the foul swamps of Nyissa, then into the lands of the Murgos. And at the end, they must face a horrible danger-to themselves and to all mankind.

For the Dark Prophecy had not vanished when Garion slew the evil God Torak. Instead, it had fled to Zandramas, who was now the Child of Dark. Dark and Light still contended for mastery, and Zandramas planned to use the child in some rite at the Sardion Stone to insure that the Dark would triumph.

If they could not be at that impossible place when Zandramas arrived, they would lose-forever.

Here, David Eddings' bestselling The Malloreon continues as the epic quest begins, across new lands and among strange peoples. A magnificent fantasy of men, Kings, Sorcerers, and Gods caught up in a death struggle between two ancient, warring Destinies-the culmination of a seven-thousand-year war of Good and Evil.

Demon Lord of Karanda
Captives of His Imperial Majesty
Zandramas had stolen King Garion's infant son and fled far to the east, there to use the child in some ritual that would make the Dark Destiny supreme. Garion and his friends had followed, but now they were captives of Zakath, Emperor of Mallorea, taken to his capital city of Mal Zeth.

There they were treated almost as friends and surrounded in luxury. But Zakath stubbornly refused to let them leave.

Meanwhile, a man called Mengha was leading a horde of demons to ravage and conquer the cities through which they must travel. Zandramas was escaping further toward her goal. And the Seeress of Kell revealed that they must be at the ancient palace of Ashaba with a matter of days or Zandramas would win by default.

Then a horrible, fatal plague struck the city of Mal Zeth, closing it against all traffic in or out.

Here David Eddings continues his bestselling The Malloreon, taking the quest across a strange continent and among stranger peoples struggling over the religion of a dead God. A story of ancient, opposing Destinies battling for control of all men.

Sorceress of Darshiva
The Endless Quest
Troubles and delays continued to mount as Garion, Belgarath, Polgara, and the company pursued Zandramas across the known world. Possessed by the Dark Destiny, she had stolen Garion's infant son to use in a ritual that would destroy all that was fair and good.

Always the quest led onward, across and beyond the continent of Mallorea, where the Evil God Torak had once been supreme until Garion slew him. And always Zandramas was one step ahead of them. The armies she had raised, led by a Demon Lord, threatened to cut them off on one side; on the other, the forces of Emperor Zakath were seeking to capture them.

Zandramas was taunting them and spying on them, flying over in the form of the great dragon, while the Dark Destiny changed her and etched away the last of her touches of humanity.

Somehow, as the Seeress of Kell had warned them, they had to be at the Place Which Is No More for the ritual at the same time as Zandramas, if they were to have a chance to defeat her evil schemes.

But where that might be they still had no clue.

Here David Eddings continues his bestselling The Malloreon, in this story of ancient, opposing Destinies battling for control of a world and for the fate of all Gods and men.

Seeress of Kell
The Final Reconing
Time was running out for Garion and his companions in their quest to recover Garion's infant son and heir. If they could not locate the Place Which Is No More, Zandramas, the Child of Dark, would use Garion's son in a rite that would raise the Dark Prophecy to eternal dominion over all the world-and all the universe!

Only the Seeress of Kell could reveal the site of that mysterious place-and that she could do only once Garion and Polgara had fulfilled an ancient prophecy in the mountain fastness of the Seers?

Kell was closed to Zandramas-but her dark magics could enable her to force the knowledge of the location of the site of that final meeting from the mind of one of Garion's party. Determined to claim the world for the Dark God, she laid her traps and dispatched her foul minions. But Garion would let nothing stand between him and his son, well aware that the fate of the world depended on his successfully completing the quest that fate had laid out for him at the beginning of time?

Here is the epochal conclusion to David Eddings bestselling THE MALLOREAN, the culmination of an unparalleled quest across strange lands and among strange peoples-a magnificent fantasy of men, Kings, Sorcerers, and Gods caught up in the seven-thousand-year war between two ancient, opposing Destinies battling to determine the fate of all creation.
