Like the previous trilogy, Chronicles, the Legend trilogy was also written by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.
This trilogy is the stroy of the powerful archmage, Raistlin, one of the Heroes of the Lance and his ambition of challenging and taking Takhisis's place as the God of Darkness. Only two people can stop this from happening; Raistlin's own brother, the warrior Caramon, and Crysiana, a beautiful cleric of Paladine. As they try to stop Raistlin from fulfilling his ambition, dark magic and even darker ambition battle with love and self-sacrifice in a quest to save the world, but more importantly, to save a soul.
This is an awsome trilogy, perhaps even better than Chronicles that every Dragonlance fan HAS to read!
