The BIG OL' OAK at The Junction in Geneva, Alabama has a limb spread of 168 feet and is listed in the registries of The Alabama Historical Commission and The International Association of Live Oak Trees. It has been deeded to the city of Geneva three times! Interesting. It was used as a meeting place for the local Home Guard during the Civil War and is located in Fowler Memorial Park, at the Junction of Choctawhatchee and Pea Rivers. Geneva's annual River Festival is held there in April.
