I also found it very interesting that when the two worms fought, it was always to the demise of both worms. Wasn't it possible to one worm outlast the other?

I found it very interesting that the mysterious prehistoric worm could easily be transferred between people when blood was exchanged, but that only one worm would ever develop within a single person. If the worm was to live within the Cerebral Cortex to reate the ammonia it needed, was it running though the necks of people to eat all the other little worms that might be developing?
