To the followers of the Irish Celtic Faery Faith DANA ( Danu ) is the primary aspect of the gods, beyond all other gods of this world. She is a female energy, but contains the masculine; therefore, She is both a female god and a male god. Dana is the great Mother of all the gods and goddesses of the Celtic Pantheon.

Many believe that the goddess Bridget to be the same diety as Dana (today the modern Irish still venerate Saint Bridget).
Bridget (Brighid; Breed; Brihit; Breo-Saighit) is a tripe Goddess. Goddess of poetry, of healing and of smithwork. One of Her main symbols was that of the serpant. Her feastday is Imbolc, Feb. 1st, a major feast of the Celtic year.
